The global player's products include Enterprise Software solutions and the Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) which Hummingbird introduced in November 99. Dess Technologies has been offering knowledge management solutions for the last three years. "We are talking to at least three more overseas partners in the knowledge management space" says Dilip Ganeriwal, CEO, Dess Technologies. Ganeriwal also said that Dess is likely to place some equity with a venture capital investor shortly. "We are looking at sourcing about $2 million says Ganeriwal.

The Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) space where Hummingbird is currently very active is basically a single gateway to corporate data which is otherwise unstructured on the World Wide Web. EIP basically accesses data from multiple sources and provides corporates with the necessary information. Hummingbird is also looking at alliances with ASPs and Internet Companies in India according to Bala, GM, ASEAN / Greater China, Hummingbird.

Solutions offered by Dess Technologies include large volume corporate knowledge portals, search and workflow enabled intranets, large volume documents and data acpture and workflow enabled back office centralization.
