Wah Sorcar (Jr)! says Tara

Sibabrata Das
Broadcast Worldwide's Tara group of regional channels will be the first to telecast PC Sorcar's (Junior) illusory trick of making the historical monument Taj Mahal disappear on November 10 at 8.30 pm.

Tara Marathi, Tara Punjabi, Tara Gujarati and Tara Bangla will also air rare footage of PC Sorcar's (Senior) magical moments. "We will air strange instances from the magical career of Mr Sorcar," a senior executive in Broadcast Worldwide said.

Tara will have multiple telecast rights for the Taj event at Agra. Mr Sorcar, who had his private television crew to shoot the event, will have rights to the property and can sell it to other channels.

The illusory trick of making the Taj Mahal disappear was watched by a select audience of 35 as Mr Sorcar (Junior) performed the magic on November 8 in the afternoon. In four minutes, the entire show was over. Mr Sorcar (Junior) was not allowed to carry out his performance within 500 metres from the Taj Mahal. But he performed the rare trick and made a name in history. Now he is looking at selling the event to other television channels.

Tara will fill up the rest of the air time with an interview and some select performances from the father and son.
