Interactive insurance portal launched in Chennai
The first interactive insurance portal in India and a one-stop virtual insurance shop for policy holders was launched in the city on Thursday.
Former chairman of general insurance corporation, SV Mony, inaugurated the portal, smart insurance shop.com, promoted by Kaashyap Radiant, and Chennai-based Shriram Group and Integrated Enterprises.
Indo-German platform for software SMEs
The Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry (GMCI) in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute of Software and System Technik, Germany, will soon set up a Indo-German software industry support platform to enable small and medium enterprises capture the information technology marketin Europe.

SIMA launches Website
The Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) has launched its own Website in Coimbatore on Wednesday. SIMA vice-chairman Vijay Venkataswamy said on the occasion that the industrial growth all over the world was now driven by information technology and it had led to transformation of the industry. The integration of IT in the manufacturing field had altered the very structure of textile industry and its markets, he noted.
