Badaun (UP) The beheaded soldier's case turned from bad to worse as an unfeeling SP minister in CM Akhilesh Yadav's govt seeks to play down demands and travails of the martyr's family.

Uttar Pradesh minister for sports and youth welfare Ramkaran Arya said the hunger strike by martyr soldier Hemraj's mother and wife will not solve the issue and it would be a "petty thing" to do on the matter.

Arya told reporters here, "Hunger strike is not a solution. We do strike on problems. Being on strike will be a petty thing on this issue."

The condition of Hemraj's mother Meena Devi and wife Dharamvati, who are on a fast demanding the head of the decapitated jawan, today deteriorated.

According to villagers, they are on fast demanding the return of the head of the slain 13 Rajputana Rifles soldier, who was decapitated by Pakistani troops near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on January 8.

The absence of top state government official during the funeral of Hemraj was conspicuous enough to invite criticism.

When asked about the state government's alleged apathy, the minister said that the DM and SP should have reached here.

However, SDM Mathura said a helipad is under construction since UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is expected to visit the village on Monday.

It is U.P. public which has elected such communal, corrupt, traitors and handed them power to enjoy all amenities with the public funds.During election we go mad after Goondas, send them to rule us on the basis of caste, color, creed, religion and bribe poison and complain for 5 years. The country in which everything including Mulayam,Maya and even Media dance at the tune of MMS/Sonia!!Is it possible in any cultured, literate country?Hence to bear such insult of our JAWANS(Who SAVE the country)at the hands of those rulers who are engaged to SELL the country.

SP Minister's Irresponsible remark on beheaded soldier's family by Varadhan on 14 Jan 2013

When these guys do not bother much about the security personnel who were killed during Parliament attacked (except the ususl photo-op by keeping wreath what have they done to their families). The true colours of most of the irresponsible/corrupt/even some criminal politicians across all parties are gradually getting exposed, - some guys say "dented/vented", one person saying Bin Laden JI (Digvijay Singh). They are our servants BUT they behave as if we the electorate, even the IAS officers are their servants. Example: one IAS officer cleaning the footwear of the great Mayawati. When we the electorate want to elect the good politicians like Lal Bahadur Shastri, Kamaraj we can't find anyone and left out to choose the lesser corrupt one. That is why we Indians need Political Reform - Right to reject, Right to recall

BEFITTING REPLY BY THE PUBLIC by NISHA TRIPATHI on 14 Jan 2013

insensitive politicial class by rocky on 14 Jan 2013

We are unfortunate that we have got a very insensitive political class who has no respect for its defence personals or citizens. They think if they are elected they are the kings and only they will decide what is good or bad for the nation. They don't care about sentiments of people of elect them. We need a big change in the governance system.

SP the traitor party by Vaman P on 14 Jan 2013

Well, well, I was wondering how come the great traitor and corrupt politician has not said anything on delhi gang rape case and now on the issue of beheading of army soldiers. Here it starts to come thru his followers an UP minister. Just before Kargil, Mulayam Singh Yadav had issued a statement that India Govt. should pay Pak Rs.20,000 crore as compensation money on a/c. of partition. Kargil happened within 20 days, which clearly shows that he had prior knnowledge of the conspiracy being hatched by the ISI with the help of Taliban and Al Qaeda.

The Govt.officials do not deserve to be there with the Martyr's Family by Gaurav on 14 Jan 2013

By hearing such developments on the ground it clearly shows the ethics and values of these Governing class. There are literally no words to humiliate these Ministers. Even the entire Dictionary of Bad words will fall short for them. But, I would like to tell Ramkaran Arya that he don't have to tell others about the mode of protesting. Hemraj's family has all the rights to protest in the way they feel. If he has guts then he shall dare to bring Hemraj's Head from the enemy. If not then step aside. And before criticising others I feel that I am helpless and useless today for experiencing such a plight. With what pride I can say that Mera Bharat hain Mahan?? Lighting candles and online protesting is useless. Its time for action!!!
