Sydney Serena Williams has revealed how watching double amputee sprinter Oscar Pistorius compete at London Games brought tears in her eyes, which has now inspired her to become the only women after legendary Steffi Graff to win all the four major Grand Slams next year. The world No.3 ended 2012 with a golden run of 32 wins from her last 33 matches, but Serena wants even better results next year, starting with a sixth Australian Open title, News.com.au reports. If Serena pulls off the epic feat it would extend an already unbelievable run to take in six straight Grand Slam titles, since she is the reigning Wimbledon and US Open champion. The 31-year-old American has already won the self-styled ‘Serena Slam’, i.e. four Grand Slams in a row including three in 2003 and the Australian Open in 2004. However, the complete clean sweep is already on her mind after she opened the new season with a 6-2, 6-1 rout of World No.21 Varvara Lepchenko at the Brisbane International yesterday. Serena said she thinks she can achieve the feat if she wins the Australian Open. Showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, Serena’s only ambition is to keep improving her game, and she even suggested she would play through until the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Serena said she loves the Games and added that playing in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics is one of her goals. Serena added she I was brought to tears by Pistorius during the Games, and added she was inspired by his determination and grit.
