Anisur Rahman, the Left Front’s legislature party deputy leader, made the comments while speaking in Itahar in North Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
Referring to the chief minister’s announcement a month ago to give Rs 20,000 to a rape victim, Rahman, chairman of the public accounts committee, said: “This government will do good to all, farmers, workers, rape victims. This is the same Mamata Banerjee who went to South 24 Parganas and brought Champala Sardar to Writers’ Building claiming she was raped. She takes up those hala fala girls (girls discarded by society). I told her if you want to bring some girls, bring some good girls. There is no better girl than you. We will give her some medal, or we can give her Rs 20,000. We ask, Didimoni, what is your fee? How much will you take for getting raped?’’
Rattled by the remark, the CPM called Rahman to the party headquarters and censured him. “The statement made by Anisur Rahman is against the culture and tradition of the party and we do not approve of such remarks. We warn him to refrain from making such remarks in future,” said a statement from state secretary Biman Bose.
Rahman also apologised at a press conference. “On December 25...we were discussing the issue of announcing compensation for rape victims. My intention was to discuss the daily incidents of rape in the state. While discussing this, I uttered certain words which were not courteous. I unconditionally apologise to the chief minister and the people of the state,” he read out from a statement.
But the Trinamool Congress has said it will file a defamation case and a privilege motion in the state assembly against Rahman.
It is high time the politicians do not lower the grace and bliss of West Bengal by lowering their levels. West Bengal naturally emits the smell of intelllectualism and is highly respected. We pray for the golden Bengal with prosperity and equal justice for all. Marxists with their ideology outdated are highly respected atleast for their honesty and upright behaviour. Rarely a marxist senior leader indulges in unworthy activities. We just respect them for honesty and integrity. Please do not devalue Bengal. It is sonar Bengal which produced Rabindra nath Tagore and BC Sen and also Jyoti Basu, a great human being.

I deplore use of such comments by the MLA or any public representative. CPM is giving much lenience to Muslims. Muslims are using much much harsh words against hindu ladies whether they are common public or leaders. SC representatives are also using more harsh words against caste hindus and if other party responds they will book ase of atrocities. In India minorities are enjoying major rights and go on insulting hindus with biased mind. Mamatha should not ask for apology further she should file case against culprits and book him under relevant sections. This will give good signal to many erring politicians who use their tongue without any restraints.
How was this Mamta woman chosen to be a leader? By the people of Bengal? Well then they should think twice before choosing their leaders. This woman is just Pathetic. Well done CPM MLA.

It seems Indian leaders have lost their mental balance. Hence they are spreading hate and indulging in very abusive language. They feel they are above law and Indian justice system is so crippled that leaders have no fear of law in their mind. Such leaders should go mental hospitals instead of parliament.
Why was there a cultural revolution in China? Indian politicians will never learn any thing. Indian politicians and police are dangerous for stability in India.
Surprise, surprise, Mamta is devoid of all sensibilities. First she calls Calcutta girls rape a political stunt. Now by offering Rs. 20000/- as compensation, she is bent on further humiliating the rape victims. Herself being a women, such sense less acts are not expected of her. Ms. Mamta, please think twice or thrice before openibg youor mouth.
