Left Front rally led by Biman Bose to protest Tuesday’s attack on CPM cadres, in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Kolkata For the second consecutive day, senior CPM leaders took out a rally demanding arrest of Trinamool Congress MLA Arabul Islam for the assault on party leader Abdur Rezzak Mollah.

Questioning Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s silence over the recent incidents of violence in the state, CPM state secretary Biman Bose accused her of forgetting her duty and termed it a dangerous trend.

“Why is she silent over the recent incidents of violence? It is really surprising that she is keeping mum on all the incidents of violence from assault on MLA Rezzak Mollah to firing on CPM cadres by Trinamool goons. This is a dangerous trend,” Bose told a rally, which was attended by former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.

“She should not forget that she is a chief minister. But she is acting as if she is the chief minister of only the Trinamool Congress,” Bose added.

CPM, in its long reign over WB, ensured that every aspect of the society was infiltrated with its cadre - political opponents and even coalition partners were totally disregarded and even bullied. Hence, while Bimonda's advice to Didi would have been considered logical, it is devoid of any moral authority.
