I am quite confused about the condition of the victim.Initially doctors reported her condition to be very critical.They claimed that she was alert and was able to communicate through facial expressions.Yesterday the doctors reported that she was communiciating through gestures.But in the meantime the various news bulletins reported about the cotroversy relating to the recoding of her statement before a magistrate.I wonder how it happenned.

Politics is the only industry, that requires no qualification. Today money, power, wealth and political influence does not mean they are qualified. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ATTITUDE is the most important parameter to find whether a person is qualified. India can claim it is truly independent only when the women in India can move about freely anytime of the day without fear of assault of any kind whether for valuables being worn by them or their very person. Main reason for repeated occurrence of crime against women is the rampant corruption in the system which has defeated the law enforcing function. Our Police system is not effective to prevent crimes because the priorities set for them by the corrupt politicians is only towards personal gains. Governments have found it convenient to leave it as it is because of their need to have corrupt politicians to generate illgotten wealth and use it to create vote banks.
