Champions Trophy 2013 tickets on sale.

Dubai The ICC today announced the sale of tickets for the Champions Trophy, to be held in England in June next year.

"The tickets went on sale to the public today, on Monday 5 November 2012 at 10:30 am GMT, at www.icc-cricket.com," a release from the international governing body stated.

The ICC Champions Trophy will feature the eight best ODI teams in the world and will be played across three grounds ¿- Cardiff Wales Stadium, The Oval and Edgbaston.

India will play South Africa in the tournament opener at Cardiff Wales Stadium on June 6, while the final will be held at Edgbaston on June 23.

The eight teams are split into two groups, with each team playing three group matches. The top-two in each group will progress to the semis, the release added.

Adult tickets are priced in three categories - Gold, Silver and Family Stand - and range from 20 pounds (for a group game in the family stands), up to 60 pounds (Gold ticket for the final).

Tickets for under-16s are priced at five pounds for the entire tournament, including the final. They must, however, attend the match with an adult, the release said.

A new pricing structure also sees the introduction of tickets for under-21s, priced between 10-25 pounds.

"We know that because of the diversity of cultures in the United Kingdom each team taking part can be guaranteed 'home support' and because the demand for tickets will be so high we urge everyone to reserve their place at this special tournament as soon as possible," ICC Chief Executive, David Richardson, said.

Tournament Director, Steve Elworthy, said: "We are delighted to announce ticket details for the tournament. In a summer packed full of cricket, we've ensured that fans across England and Wales can enjoy world class cricket at exceptional value. A family of four can enjoy a day of fantastic cricket from just 50 pounds."
