Congress warns industry against ‘flirting with right wing’

Express news service

Mumbai After top industrialists attended Vibrant Gujarat Summit, a show of strength by CM Narendra Modi, Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said Saturday corporate India should realise implications of “flirting with right wing”.

Ambani brothers Mukesh and Anil not only attended the sixth biennial summit organised by the Gujarat government but also praised Modi, so did other industrialists and representatives of the US, UK, Japan, Canada, China, Denmark and Taiwan.

“Such statements were also made before the 2009 election, but Congress came back to power. In the ‘30s, the industry and corporate sector of Germany had similar fascination with a leader at the helm of affairs there. The consequences were disastrous for Europe,” said Tewari, on his first visit to Mumbai after taking charge of the ministry of information and broadcasting.

He said: “Corporate India will be well-served to keep distance from such a leader.”

Tewari said even in basics such as FDI, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka had better figures than Gujarat.

In fact the country should beware of Congress and its black deeds.CONGRESS GAVE IMBALANCED CONSTITUTION,GAVE 1984 SIKH(MINORITY)MASSACRE making minorities fearful and bent towards Congress out of fear,GAVE EMERGENCY TO INDIA,A GIFT FROM NEHRU-GANDHI FAMILY,FORCEFUL STERILIZATION OF MINORITIES DURING EMERGENCY AND THAT TOO LED BY NEHRU-GANDHI FAMILY.Present day eunuch ministers and so-called leaders(In fact PAPER-TIGERS like Manish)made to lick footpath of 10,Janpath-Boss) for getting a chair. In Manish's own words, people living in glass-houses should not pelt stones at others.Even Media should speak for India and not for MODI as well as for Congress as is done by SG-edited IE Congress-worship.

Manish Tiwari warns industry by Paresh V on 13 Jan 2013

Can Manish Tiwari clarify what he means? Is he threatening the industry of consequences of going to Gujarat? If, as he says other states have better figures, then why does he worry? Congress's vindictive attitude was revealed after last summit when the IT department sent notices to the parties who signed MOU about sources of funds. IT department knows full well that at MOU stage no funds are mobilized, yet they wish to harass business houses. It is such negative climate which UPA has created, which has resulted in high inflation, low growth and so low employment growth, which people are tired from. The Gujarat elections showed the opinion of people in favour of development.

FDI by Daffa on 13 Jan 2013

Thank you Tiwari for confirming TN, Karnataka, Gujarat has maximum FDI where congress is not in power. Maharashtra also Gujus would have had lions share. So world is right in betting on a winner.

Cong by Mouli on 13 Jan 2013

Cong I practices untouchability and playes the BJP card whenever it finds it difficult to convince any one. It is absolute non sense to curb industries to go to Gujarat and if Cong I states want to do anything for the country they should do something similar and gain credibility thru performance.

modi by natanasabapathy on 13 Jan 2013

such threats by congress wont help it. the future of congress is doomed. gandhi's wishes are to become true. there will be no more congress party in future.thanks to its anti poor people actions.

CONGRESS WARNS INDUSTRY! by bhrashtabhanjan@gmail.com on 13 Jan 2013

Mr Tiwari when there are no words in favour of then in Indian Corrupts refers either "COMMUNAL" or "FASCIST" words! Gone are the days of 2009 it is 2013 and just wait. Your Corrupt Congress Government ruining the Country beyond repairs. Since morning to evening or since beginning to end what this ruling PURE COMMUNAL GOVERNMENT is doing? Only two goals and agendas (1) Corruption (2) Garner "votes" at any cost. The overwhelming response and faith of Industry on Narendra Modi you and your defunct government can not digest it. People knows "you can not allow our defence forces to act and bring back the head of martyrs who will believe the Congress??? Shame on you CORRUPT CONGRESS.

Oh ho. So Congress think OWAISI is secular leader by sandy on 13 Jan 2013

Why congress neglects 80crore hindus & runs for 20crore. We never did it. We treated all equally. Wat about your OWAISI?

Very True by Naik on 13 Jan 2013

Anyone who has read German history will know that Manish Tewari is perfectly right. Companies such as Mercedes and BMW were smitten by Hitler, and considered him the King of Kings. Moreover, even certain sections of German society were in love with Hitler ( read "Gujarat"). However, the consequences of these actions were there for everyone to see.

“flirting with right wing” by Rajeev on 13 Jan 2013

I feel Mr Manish Tiwari should explain%u201Cflirting with right wing%u201D in a more comprehensive manner. May be they are afraid that such a thing could sag the gas in "garibi hatao" balloon. I am not a BJP supporter but I still admire the decisions and integrity of Mr Modi. Mr Tiwari I and many others believe that NM is a leader and politician to be followed and admired. Try to copy him and watch your stature grow.

Minister should be careful by Not votebank on 13 Jan 2013

What does he think? Businessmen are his dumb vote bank? Business people are what they- business. If he is so sure that Modi is criminal, why doesn't he file a case against him? Even honorable supreme court couldn't find anything against him. I won't vote for Modi either,But I believe false accusations are not good for Country's growth. A Minister shouldn't talk like a cheap politician. He is afraid that BJP will get large donation for 2014.

Industry by Valluri Santosh on 13 Jan 2013

2014 will be different for UPA.Before 2009 not many scams came to light and if UPA 2 has won it was due to Dr Manmohan Singh who was projected as PM.The Aam aadmi had an impression imandaar Aadmi. But today it is no longer so. People are in no mood to wait.Development is the key word. And people are willing to take a chance and give thier nod to proven leadership. If the media is truly impartial then the anger of the people will be known.Unfortunately that is not the case.I remember after emergency was lifted and in the elections that took place the then ruling party was badly battered-because the truth was not known to the ruling class because of censorship.I hope the 2014 verdict will be what today's Aam aadmi desires.

The real Hitler in India today by Sunanada on 13 Jan 2013

India has only one dictator, who is ruling like Hitler, and her name is Sonia Gandhi.

What a Stupid Comment by ManishTewari by P M Menon on 13 Jan 2013

Congress is so much scared just by hearing few of the country's top businessmen talk good of Modi and his achievements...what a shame a Minister is talking rubbish instead of appreciating achievements of people of Gujarat..
