"We are not soft on BJP. Their are allegations in public space. Authorities like SEBI, Income Tax department and the Finance Ministry are more than competent....sure they will take cognisance", party spokesman Sandeep Dikshit told reporters.
Dikshit, who faced a volley of questions on the issue, rejected activist Arvind Kejriwal's charge that there was collusion between his party and BJP, maintaining "personal allegations should not be dragged in public life".
"It is not a question of taking on Gadkari....There are competent organisations in the government to look into the issue", he said.
Asked whether suo moto action can be taken by the government agencies against Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, facing allegations of questionable dealings with reality major DLF, he said "it can apply in anyone's case".
Dikshit also steered clear of questions whether Congress favoured Gadkari to resign on moral grounds as BJP chief in the wake of the findings. "It is for him to decide. Allegations are flying thick and fast...until and unless something comes out".
Gadkari has already denied any conflict of interest or quid pro quo in his business dealings.
Replying to another question, Dikshit said Congress' charges against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi were "qualitiatively different" as they arose out of the report of CAG which spoke of irregularities to the tune of Rs one lakh crore by Gujarat government.

Gadkari from his home State in Maharashtra has sent two corrupt wealthy business contractors to the Rajya Sabha, Sancheti and Piyush Goel, shamelessly ratified by the RSS. The Party has no one from the grass roots or the poor. How will it fight for the rights of the needy and exploited if it does not have anyone who feels for them in its fold. More than Gadkari, it is the falling values in the RSS. What affinity the RSS has towards Gadkari is fascinating to be known. All along the RSS knew that Gadkari had accumulated wealth by dubious means yet kept him close for reasons not known. It is high time the RSS kept true to its image of being with the poor and involved in social service. The continuation of Gadkari will enforce the changing values of RSS of changing with the times form being involved in Nation building to allowing corrupt people to creep into their system. The attitude of the politicians,be it from the congress the BJP or any other political party,is indeed most shocking.Who do these ra*c*ls think they are? A political party/politician despite knowing about the misdeeds, that are an offence under the IPC, of other politician/political party is not reporting it to the law enforcement agencies about it should in itself be a cause enough to start legal proceedings against such persons for being charged with the abatement of the crime. The act of not reporting the wrong doer is also a crime under the IPC.If such forbearance were shown by common citizen he or she would immediately be booked for the crime by the police but these boot licking auhorities have unashamedly taken the politicians as their masters and are ever willing to even commit a day light murder of the legal provisions if the need be to protect their political masters.
The Congress is very prompt in making this diplomatic statement freeing itself from the controversy for not ordering a probe againsy Vadra, Coalgate, Irrigation Scam in Mah etc. Obviously leaving it to the Govt means the Govt will not because its ally Sharad Pawars nephew is involved. Another point I want to make is about the TV channel Headlines Today, Needless to say that it is blatantly supporting the Congress and making false, misleaing and wrong statements about Kejriwal. Kejriwal is not isolated, he is not under any attack by Anna, Anna is still with him, and by doing all this Headlines Today only conveys that is not a truthful media channel and slowly will loose its viewers.

Whole political lot is neck deep in dirt. Nobody can clean it.The frightening factor is now Kejriwal kick started a campaign to cleanse the system,the way the polticians are ganging up is worysome,it will lead to Arab spring like situation(civil war).
Sandeep Dikshit Fair enough,let the government, Agencicis, SEbi haquire about Nitin Gadkari. But what about the allegations against Robert Vadra? It is similar charges and do you have guts to say for inquiry? Yadha Mata , thada puther.
