Cong’s fresh salvo: We don’t need Trinamool

Kolkata The Congress, which is a junior partner in Trinamool Congress-led government in West Bengal, on Wednesday said it does not require the ally to stand on its own feet. “The Congress is not lost in Bengal and it does not require Trinamool as it can stand on its own feet,” state Congress chief Pradip Bhattacharya told a Youth Congress convention here.

Manas Bhuniya, who is minister in the state cabinet, said the party in the state was in a dilemma as it was not able to work together nor walk out of the coalition and had sought a direction from the party high command.

“I ask myself why are we in the government when the same situation as that which had prevailed during the Left Front regime when 17,000 Congress workers were killed still prevails under the Trinamool-led government in the state,” Bhuniya said.

The party declared a “Nandigram Chalo Abhiyan” against the alleged Trinamool atrocities and not allowing it to contest the recent civic elections in Nandigram.

LET US SEE THE CURRENT SITUATION ! by Dr.M.M.HAZARIKA on 13 Sep 2012

With General Public of WB is under two minds, we feel sad to hear such Statements from the collision partner. Is this Party joining hands with left forces like the one done once by the center? Such mistakes are unpardonable acts to belittle Democracy over Communism.Attack the CM as and when she does a similar when if-fact she becomes a full flagged CM with financial Power in hand being at present her hands are empty with nothing available in the treasury to show what she can deliver to the State .No Political figure within WB ever faced such humiliation to secure the current position as she did but yet she never backed off. This is what we called LOVE of one towards the PUBLIC.

Cong’s fresh salvo: don’t need Trinamool by G R Jagannadh on 13 Sep 2012

Trinamool is going to pay the price for the intransigence of it's Chief Minister Mamata to learn that she is the CM of the State and is expected to give Governance and gallivanting all over the Country trying to make nuisance for the Congress led UPA. Now is the time for the Congress to make its mark in Bengal. It can any day provide better governance than Mamata- This should be the slogan
