A two-member team of Cyber Crime Cell of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Gandhinagar, on Saturday visited the toll plaza with local police officers. The team spent around five hours at the plaza and took a copy of the CCTV footage of the incident that took place early on Friday.
“The FSL experts have taken a copy of the original footage from digital video recorder at the plaza for a detailed analysis to know as to how the incident happened. Their report on the footage will help police submit the footage as evidence in court,” Vadodara rural DySP Usha Rada said on Sunday.
The duration of the recording is around 22 minutes, police said.
Incidentally, experts of regional FSL in Vadodara had analysed the footage on Friday itself and helped ascertain that the weapon with which the MP was seen was a double-barrel shotgun.
“We have sought help from Porbandar, Junagadh and Rajkot police to know Radadiya’s criminal background if any, and also to ascertain if any weapon has been registered in his name,” the DySP added.
