Sources in the Kejriwal camp also pointed to “close RSS links” of some of Hazare’s aides, saying that Kiran Bedi and Sitaram Jindal had pushed for a dialogue with the “principal opposition party”.
Ramdev’s spokesperson confirmed Gen (retd) V K Singh’s presence at the meeting last night, and said the Baba might address a press conference on Friday to reveal details of what transpired.
In Pune, Hazare refrained from commenting on the split or his meeting with Ramdev. “I will not speak on this subject for the next four days,” he said. “I came here to pray to Lord Ganesh to rid the country of corruption. I will not comment on other dirty things.”
In a video address earlier in the day, Hazare reiterated that the movement had split, and both groups would work for the common goal of eradicating corruption.
“We respect Anna Hazare, he is our guru and father. Yesterday’s developments were shocking, unbelievable, unfortunate and sad. Anna’s five principles are the foundation of our party. Anna’s photograph and name are printed in our hearts... We will keep seeking his blessings,” tweeted Kejriwal today.
Sources said both Hazare and Ramdev agreed that they would not be a part of any political outfit and would not allow any party on their stage. Incidentally, Ramdev’s last fast at Ramlila Maidan had ended with a show of strength by top NDA leaders including BJP president Nitin Gadkari and JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav.
“Hazare was originally slated to meet Ramdev at 5 pm and he started becoming very restless. Three people were not even allowed to speak,” said a member of Team Kejriwal. “Sitaram Jindal and Kiran Bedi urged a dialogue with BJP. Jindal said Italy’s rule has to end... There are reports that VHP and RSS functionaries were present at the Hazare-Ramdev meeting,” he claimed.
But Bedi retorted that she has always targeted the party in power. “It does not mean any sympathy or alignment with the opposition,” she said.
The IAC publicity machinery also stressed on former bureaucrat Avinash Dharmadhikari’s past association with the Shiv Sena. Bedi, Jindal and Dharmadhikari were among those who opposed a political option at yesterday’s meeting.
According to sources, Kejriwal and his team tried hard to convince Hazare to lend his name to the proposed party. “Without you we are nothing. Everything will come to nought if you are not with us,” Kejriwal reportedly told Hazare.
But Hazare did not relent. “You are free to launch a party... but you will have to do it on your own strength and not by using my name,” he is reported to have said.
At the nine-hour meeting mediated by social scientist Yogendra Yadav, Shanti Bhusan reportedly recounted his experience with the Janata Party. He said that if the party could come to power within two months of its formation, there was no reason why Kejriwal’s party could not do so with two years to go for Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, Bedi said they were now searching for a new IAC office in Delhi.

So Anna and (ex-team) believe that politics is not possible without corruption. What then is the solution they propose? Kejriwal, Bedi, Ramdev all have too suspicious minds to thrive...they can denounce the system and agitate people but have no real vision for a practical and workable clean system to sell to the people.
We Indians are famous for satisfying very much by crying on others. The same is being done by Khejriwal. But one thing is sure, but for his association with Anna Hazare and using his photo who is and what is Khejriwal. As we say in Hindi language uski aoukaati hi kyaa hai? Meaning what is his identity? May be he was a sincere udyoegi i.e. employee but has scars on him with Income tax Department however explanation he is giving. he has ransacked the entire movement for which many persons of personal integrity and loyalists of Anna had and have to part from Anna ji and he is main responsible to bring down the Anna Movement. Without Annaji he is headless living human body roots less baniyan tree. Nobody trusts him in his movement may be a political party. Haan%u2026, he can make out some good money in his new avatar as a politician.
Common people,when would be realise that by such disparity in our opinions corrupt dynasties like congress ruled our nation for years.Atleast for god's sake this time lets throw it out of power so that nation coould have some leash of life.lets prove we got the powere to overthrow corrupt regimes.
Anna ji is man with mission.So is Kejriwal in my view.What ever be the reason for their parting ways,I would think it would be prudent on the part of Kejriwal to maintain a total silence in this matter.He has every right to form a political platform even if doomsday predictions are frightening.Who knows,he may become a force to reckon with?

With or without Hazare's name, the political party proposed by Kejriwal and co., will not get deposits. It is not that voters were not disgruntled with corruption. If the recent experience in AP is to be considered, where Jagan charged with amassing thousands of crores thru' corrupt means, won hands down in the by-elections, it is proved that voters look for something beyond corruption. Comparing the experiment with that of Janata Party is not correct. JP was a tall leader and he did not float his own party, but depended on opposition leaders for countering Indira. So too, there is nothing wrong if BJP is depended upon if only to defeat the corrupt congress. If BJP goes the congress way, then the opposition congress may be roped in. That way at least the powers that be will have fear of losing their power and politics may undergo a radical change. It is time Kejriwal stops shadow boxing and joins the main opposition party's fight with the corrupt regime along with Hazare and Ramdev.
It is good Anna got rid of this dead weight around his neck. Most of the time Kejriwal talked nonsense anyway. It is only Anna who can negotiate with a National level party and get assurances about candidates and provide a nation wide support for the individuals chosen. Forming a new party will not cleanse the existing ones and these dirty faces will appear again in the Parliament. Anna has the patience and the ability to persuade. In the mean time his team should come identify the clean faces in one of the party and seek for more clean faces. He need not feel to be tagged a Hindu as true Indians will decide the next elections.
Anna has proved that he can play kabadi only in his village ground. Dear Mr. Kejeriwal. Move forward. Whole nation is behind you in their heart and spirit even if they don't come out and show enmass. Each and every Indian will vote for your party and you don't need to spend money, just launch perfect candidates in the fight against curruption.
