The doctors at Safdarjung Hospital, who have been closely monitoring the girl's health, said her platelet count and total leukocyte count had also shown improvement as compared to that of yesterday and that she was physically fit to speak now.
“Her liver functions are by and large fine, her lab profile is also by and large static and her platelet count and total leukocyte count has improved,” said Dr Sunil Jain.
He, however, said her counts have improved after pumping in a lot of blood and platelets.
Dr P K Verma, ICU incharge, said the girl is better than yesterday but still on ventilator and her urine output is also good.
“She is still on ventilator though the ventilator support has been reduced,” he said.
Yesterday, her health had deteriorated after she had showed tendencies of internal bleeding. The doctors had then termed her condition as “very serious and very critical”.
Amid the ongoing row over the Sub-divisional Magistrate's charges, the victim's statement was recorded again earlier in the day. The girl had given her statement earlier last week.
According to reports, the 23-year-old girl, who was gangraped on a moving bus, gave her account of what actually happened to a judge for the second time today at the Safdarjung Hospital here.
The gangrape survivor's statement will be used in the trial of the six men arrested in connection with the ghastly incident.
The latest development in this regard comes in the wake of allegations that senior police officers tried to interfere with the crucial process of recording the victim's statement.
Delhi Police has, however, rubbished all the charges being levelled against the men in uniform.
In her letter written to Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has demanded that a high-level inquiry should be ordered into reports that top policemen interfered in the recording of the 23-year-old gangrape survivor's statement.

While the allopathic treatment towards arresting Sepsis is being progressed, it would probably help alleviate faster if an adjunctive Homeopathic treatment, by an expert Naturopath, too is attempted. God bless her and I wish her a speedy recovery.
Dear , why do you think that she cant be survived here.If it is possible to survive every one in usa then steve jobe will be in between us.So kindly faith in system and you rightly say that you are far away from decipline of medicine
Police Chief may term her condition as "collatral damage" for the death of police constable. It is highly regrettable that a poor policeman had to sacrifice his life due to inept handling of the case by seniors.. Insensvity of a lethargic administration will lead to what is termed as "cllatral damage"
Politically, may be corrupt congress is not interested to keep the girl alive. Govt. is worried for the the biggest ever protest on 26 th January.
Even though I am far away from the decipline of Medicine,we feel that armed with the courage of the girl to fight with the situation,a very slow bood transfusion would possibly have worked but the detection of organ failure made the circumtances extreamly difficult for us to face the Case with enough of attention.Since,it involve the prestise of the NATION;we call upon the entire to issue a call to the entire experts living or available within the Globe to extend us help in rescuing the innocent from suffering more. This is our duty to do so;as a NATION.Let Money and communication must not be a constrain for us at this moment of utmost URGENCY.
