This was conveyed when a delegation of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) met Union Home Secretary R K Singh here today, official sources said.
BCCI senior official and Union Minister Rajiv Shukla said that the Board delegation discussed with the Home Secretary about security and logistical issues.
"We have discussed all security aspects. The tour is on," he told reporters here.
Apart from the security issues, the Home Ministry also gives visa clearance to Pakistani spectators. Several top Pakistani dignitaries are expected to visit India to watch the cricket matches.
The series would comprise three ODIs and two Twenty20 Internationals between December 2012 and January 2013. The ODI matches are likely to be played in Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi and the Twenty20 games in Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
In July, the BCCI had decided to resume cricketing ties with Pakistan by inviting the neighbouring country for a short series in December 2012-January 2013, to be sandwiched between the Test and ODI legs of the England team's tour of India.
The arch-rivals have not played a bilateral series since Pakistan's tour of India in 2007 after cricket ties were snapped following the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

At times we feel that our government does not have spine to act at all. The basis for the clearanceof Pak team must be improving CBMs between the two countries. It is a fact that Pakistan has neve appreciated our stand on terrorism and has not moved an inch in the 26/11 case and the courts have even declined to record the statement of the witnesses. Another trust breaking move by Pakistan was raking up the Kashmir issue in the recently convenced UN general assembly. Pakistan has neve wasted an opportunity to back stab us and still we are talking about peace initiatives, trade, curltural and tourist exchanges between us and Pak. We are literally shameless and all cricket fans in India should boycott the whole series and even the media should not cover the series.
MMS is doing everything as demanded by USA. They want to pull out of Pakistan . but before that they have to prove that everything is well in Pakistan hence presence of US Troops is no more required in Pakistan. I really wonder whether do we really have something called Union Govt in Delhi or it is just extension of American Govt. office in Delhi. We all should bycot this series.
The government and money sick BCCI is after the money that the tour will generate. Giving visas to pakistani spectators will result into entrance of some terrorists in the country. This is disgusting.....There should not be any kind of relationship with these terrorist pakistanees
This is one of the worst decisions since 26/11 and sits right there with not attacking Pakistan after the attacks. I am inclined to think that baby chamchagiri system in India has made us so spineless that we will bend over back in front of others and offer the country on a platter.
Government of India clearing the Indian players to play cricket in Pakistan sends a very bad message. And it is that terror pays! The Indian government of India and the BCCI must be ashamed of themselves and all the money earned is not worth it. We the citizen of India can send the message to the players, sponsors and others by boycotting the events. It is as simple as that. Truth be told, in the World of cricket, India is bank rolling many teams all over the World. We can boycott all the events associated with this, if only we had that proverbial "will" to do the same. Any takers? I will forfeit watching this event on a cable or other TV. Once I come to know the commercial sponsors. I will boycott them as well. The money earned by BCCI for PCB is a blood money that I will not be part of. Shame on India!
I am totally in agreement. BCCI and the Govt think that making money out of the series is much more important than the lives lost in Mumbai. Wonder why nobody gives a damn about what Pakistan's Govt has a say on this

Since the tour has been approved to commemorate Pak terrorist attack on Mumbai, all the matches should be played at Mumbai. The BCCI / Govt. has no guts to do that. Denizens of Chennai, Kolkatta, New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bangalore, Please boycott en mass the cricket matches with Pakis. Don't be misled by slogans such as not mixing politics and sports. If Govt has no regard for sensitivities of Indians, especially denizens of Mumbai, let BCCI / Govt greet Pakis in empty stadiums and also refuse to watch it on TV. Let us campaign for boycott of the telecast of matches so that advertisers shy away from sponsoring it. No Pakis in India till Pak hands over the sponsors of Mumbai attack.
Restoration of cricketing ties with Pakistan on home ground was an inevitable.Cricket is opium like addiction for us and it is money and ego trip for cricketing fraternity and administrators.
This governemt can stoop to such a level no indian would have thought. Hundreds of innocent indians were killed by the terrorists who were clearly backed by ISI and not a single person in pakistan is punished. This is an absolute shame on our corrupt government, extremely disgusting act. Pakistan at every stage is openly daring be it hundreds of violations of ceasefire in which so many innocent indians have been killed or pushing terrorists into india. What type of insensitive government is it? Is there anybody there to question this government.

The Indian Government has cleared the tour of Pakistan Cricket team sidelining the controversial vision of boosting Terror . Really it is a step ahead towards neighbors to bring both the countries more closer to each other and to go ahead with a future series of peace Talks to defuse prevailing tension if any .

What a shame? There has been no action for bringing those responsible for 26/11 by Pak. But we are eager for the 'cricket' diplomacy. Are we so mad about cricket that we do not mind any attacks on us? Shame!!! If sports and politics shound not be mixed, then why in the first place did we 'ban' the ties? And what is the reason for this sudden u-turn? Pak authorities must be laughing and preparing for another attack. Who cares, it is only the common man who suffers, with all the politicians (irrespecitve of their background of being Goondas, religious fanatics, corrupt looters of the country and criminals - you name it), provided with 'Z' security and as long as they are safe, they do not mind any thing. It is an insult to those policemen, those killed and those whose familes are affected, to resume such ties, despite there being no iota of any remorse from Pak side. We are weak-kneed and the only reason for the temporary 'ban' is only a show-off and cheating the public.
It is shame to note that India has proposed to play cricket with Pakistan. Cricket is a game of gentleman.But, Pakistan is not a country of gentlemen.Then, why India has desired to play cricket with Pakistan.Pakistan initiated 26/11 terror activities.Pakistan fought four wars against India.Still, terrorists are being supplied by Pakistan to do terror works in India.still,Indians have not been able to forget the tragedy of 26/11. India's decision to play cricket with Pakistan is wrong.
