How Shahid Kapoor maintains his physique

Mumbai Shahid Kapoor is by far one of the most sought after celeb in B-town thanks to his immense fan following, and it's no surprise since the actor has the best of both worlds - a chiseled physique along with flexibility of a dancer. However, seldom do the viewers realize the work that goes into maintaining a physique like his, says Shahid's trainer Abbas Ali, "Shahid is a vegetarian and thus he has to work out the extra bit to build muscle."

Adds Abbas, "Along with getting obsessed with his work, Shahid, can't do without a dose of his daily workouts. Even when he is busy shooting or traveling, the young star makes sure to make room for his workouts."

Vouching for Shahid's dedication, Abbas divulges, "The secret is in combine training. We mix our training with strength, endurance, core balance, flexibility, metabolic conditioning etc. The magic lies in mixing."

Elaborating further, he says, "He trains five times a week for an hour. There are three strength training sessions, followed by two days of functional or metabolic conditioning. He also goes for a 7-10 kms walk or jog every week."

Shahid is currently shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's Phata Poster Nikla Hero is looking forward to working in Prabhudheva's Rambo Rajkumar opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
