Mumbai Amrita Puri, who will be seen next in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che', says its important for actors to remain in limelight.

Amrita, 29, made her debut with Sonam Kapoor in 'Aisha'(2010) and then appeared in 'Blood Money' (2012).

"I have been getting offers but nothing that excited me. It is important for an actress to be seen and doing films. But then you can't just do films for the heck of it," Amrita told PTI.

"I also in between do theatre, do plays. So, in a way I am busy with work," she added.

Amrita comes from a business family and insists that its not easy for an outsider in the industry to survive.

"The journey is not easy for an outsider. Its tough for sure to be in this industry and make a mark," Amrita said.

Even as an outsider, Amrita does not shy away from approaching directors.

"I do meet directors for work. I do approach them. I wish to work with Anurag Kashyap, Anurag Basu, Vikramaditya Motwane, Dibarkar Banerjee, Nagesh Kukonoor. I have met them and shown my interest to work with them," she said.

"Also I am a bit choosy about roles. The length of the role does not matter to me much.. its the quality that is important," she added.

The actress is quite excited about her upcoming film adapted from Chetan Bhagat's novel 'The Three Mistakes of My Life'. It also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav in the lead roles.

"I really like my role a lot. I play Vidya.. She is Sushant's sister and Rajkumar's love interest. She is fiesty.. Full of masti," she said.
