Do you really think that the media did a good job of reporting the demise of Balasaheb. Where are the journalists who uncover the truth and make them public?

I agree with Mrs Karkare that Kasab should be allowed to scot free on humanitarian grounds. He was just a misguided youth. After all we are secular country, how can we hang a minority person? Hindus of India are real terrorists, they are in mojority and that is why they are imposing their thinking on Minorities. This is the very principal Mr. Karkare was following when he was killed by a misguided bullets from the Gun of Kasab. Kasab should be pardoned so that other Jehadi's planning the next attack on India can do their job peacefully and without fear. They should be given a feeling that India is a great nation and do not hang you even if you are caught red handed, provided you are Muslim.

We heard many saying....where was Thakre when Mumbai was arrested..... Hey what you think... what would you say if he goes to the crime scene? You will say he is "politicising" terrorism.... Remember Modi? he visited Taj and waht media cried? Karkare was killed like a common man, there is no case of "martydom"... he was not killed fighting terror. He was more interested in hanging Sadhvi Pragya. His family want Kasab to be pardoned, may be because they want to have media attention..... want to get mileage and congress seat. All of a sudden they are in limelight, not because they "did" something but because "Kasab" did something....

Death Penalty is an act of retribution. A life for life is just and serves the purpose of justice. The punishment should be equal to the crime and punishment has no other purpose. There is no utilitarian value and we should not aim at some other goal other than that of meeting the requirement of just punishment.The criminal should be executed by a firing squad.

I agree with Mrs Karkare that Kasab should be given a chance to understand what "India is" so that he realises that his wish for jannat is fulfilled in his living life here in India he need not die or kill people.Objective of conviction in any modern legal system is to make the convict understand or realize his mistakes and death as such will not carry that idea of realisation of wrong he has committed, he will feel he is going to his jannat if he is hanged, and not to forget that anybody on a suicide mission (present or future) death is a least deterrent punishment. We need to understand that these are all young men just like us but brainwashed to commit these acts of terror, and the best way to fight them is not to provide them with nourishment to grow.

Kasav is the only proof alive to prove Pakistans dirty mindset and I believe that govt. should keep him behind bars and treated as terrorist. And why Mr. Thakre is making so much hue and cry over the opinions of Late Mr. Karkare's family. Its only an opinion and reaction of an individual who have never faced media scrutiny and are unaware that each and every comment they make will be disected to the core by people like Thakres(vultures) who feed on dead, our sympathy with Mr. Karkare's family. Please leave them alone. Their opinion is just an opinion and not a decesion.

Just like Prianka Gandhi wanted to pardon killers of Rajiv and 60 other people around him, Karkare's daughter want to pardon killers of 200 victims. Of course ATF chief Karkare was murdered like the rest 190 people, and these killers were stopped by brave NSG commondos (not Karkares stupid ATF cops ). It is unfair to compare Karkare or other cops of Maharastra with likes Capt. Unnikrishhnan or Delhi capt. Sharma who really died fighting the Jihadi enemies. May be Karkare's family is planning to contest elections on congress ticket, am sure Dawood Ibrahim and ISI will surely back this secular UPA candidate in future! Also ISI agents in India who prounance Sadhvi Pragya and others as guility, note that nothing has been proved yet. Karkare's bravery was only talking to media about his heroic deeds of nacro tests on young hindu sadhvi, and he miserably failed when faced with real enemy, ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.

Karkare's wife and daughter are mearly trying to emulate Sonia.One will not be surprised if sonia field her in the next election to Maharashrtra assembly on congress ticket

The death sentence to any criminal is not awarded to teach him a lesson but to teach many others who may indulge in crimes. If we start pardoning everybody then who will deter from innocent killings. The so called saints should then sugget that everybody should be allowed to kill any body and seek pardon on humantarian grounds. Only then will we proudly be able to say that we belong to 'KALYUG'. I may further add, that why only kavitha karkare is speaking on the behalf of other policemen and innocent people, because the nation does not know the names of junior police official who were killed with karkare and other senior officers. Is there sacrifice lesser being the lesser human beings.

No business of letting off such a hardcore terrorist since until now he is not the feeling of any wrongdoing and hopes that he has a berth in jannat. The family members of the slain police Officer Karkare have no business to offer pardon to the terrorist Ajmal.More than their family, India and Indians were affected.In my view the terrorist Ajmal should be given with the death sentence after he is identified by the world that he is Paksitani.

I strongly belive that this high time when Syt BALSAHEB should retire from entire public and political life. His statement is like "Sathiya gaya", When their was practically fight between Police / Army with Terrorists, where were Blasaheb's Sena gone. they could not come forward to sacrifice life. instead Balsaheb iscoment unwanted words for thoes who scrifice his life already. I wuld definitely support Bal Thackeray on this one although I am not a big fan of his. Kasab should be put to death and has no right to live. He has robbed over 60 families of their joys foreever. Kavita Karkare should avoid being in media limelight. Does this speaks her of a political embition? Is she joining CPM? I was surprised to know this family has leaning towards communists as Mr Karkkare was the son of a leftist trade union AITUC Aleader.

Bring Kasab to Thakere and he will solve the problem.

Isn't her daughter in London. She must know more about terror. Her idea is good but sadly it does not work. Kasab did not kill by accident and after getting caught he told he has no regret. i cant beleive it.Reading the views on the web it goes to show that the Indian society is so polarised to the exasperating extent that a martyr and his family are bieng maligned for expressing their views.LET me tell you that i do not subscribe to the views expressed by Mr karkares daughter on kasab,he deserves to be hanged without trial.but thakreys has no business to seek it.What ws he doing when Sarpotdar was accused in crimes during mumbai Riots.Just keep OFF.I did see a interview were Mrs kavita karkare did say that her husband had valid proof working on Malegaon Blasts.Lets allow a probe o be free and fair.How is that one cannot accept a HINDU bieng accused of terrorism and indulge in getting personal with karkares family.Law is same for all.DOES that mean any investigation against the majority is anti National.Then we have failed as democracy.Some of the attacks made on his family so the sick mindset.All those nationalist must send their kids to the army.

If some people are interested to get in limelight then probably govt. of India should stop wasting tax payers money to maintain defense/police forces. Why the hell should some young people put their life in danger to catch terrorist/criminals. Agree Karkare was ATS chief and feel very sorry for this death but NSG/army/police personals action saved India's face. If I am right I doubt the tax payers are invested in defense for fun. To contain the situation form turning ugly x/y person should shut up and let govt. to focus on Pakistan. Let the law take the right action and force Pakistan to pay (may be US $ 30/40 billion) for all the expenses/loss incurred during this and all previous attack.

There is nothing new in this. For instance, Jessica Lal's sister wanted life imprisonment for her killer, but Priyadarshini Mattoo's family wanted the death penalty for her killer. So let the families of the deceased of 26/11 talk to each other on the subject without cowards getting in the way.

We are so good in letting off! Prithvi Raj Chauhan left the invading attacker many a time before finally falling himself. Indira Gandhi left the entire captured territory, even though the armed forces had won it. Now, we wnat to be great by letting off the sole captured terrorist so that he can kill 200-300 people again. Well, he has attained some experience now. Hemant Karkare's daughter did not give any stupid statement, because she might have meant, that Kasab should be given the chance to live, so that he could see for himself the damage and pain he and his terrorist mates have given to the families by heniously butchering their love ones.Killing him will be the easiest part.
