It is high time that the Indian Constitution is revised or rewritten. What is the use of Rubber Stamp Presidents. He is given every paper by the government of the day to read at every forum.Do we really require such parrots or do we need persons at high offices who have views other than government views.

President Pranabda has promised to do his best for the country. But, his best as Finance Minister on GAAR and retrospective tax laws are being undone by the Prime Minister,perhaps only waiting for him to occupy the high office. Is he going to protest, if that happens ? Or, will he simply keep quiet, as he 'did or did not' regarding black money in swiss banks, as Finance Minister ?

President, Prime Minister, Cabinet System, Presidential System etc. have all evolved over the years, different countries adopting different methods of governance suitable to the needs and the psyche of the people. This ensures peaceful coexistence among the many nations of the world. To criticize these age old institutions as wasteful expenditure which does not serve any purpose, is to take a narrow and petty view of things.

This useless position needs to be abolished immediately. Since the crroks will not let it happen the silver lining is the lady president an absolute disgrace is out. A thorouh probe must be ordered into her spending (including for her fat cat relatives) and exemplary punishment meeted out if guilty. Law must be same for every citizen of the country without exception what so ever.

Elected President of India Mr Pranab Mukherjee is now gearing up for new assignment as president of India , One of the loyalists of former Prime Minister Smt Indira Gandhi and has served in different capacities in various Government offices as Union Minister is ready to face the new challenge and new assignment as President of India .Now becoming the President of India is is a great feat for the people of Bengal .

It is same Pranabda - old wine in new bottle and a new avatar. We are not enamored by all these. It is only going to be extra expenditure for the Nation. Our country should seriously consider converting the Rashtrapathi Bhavan into a big Museum or a centre for Children for learning. Why do they need a 340 room house and such a big garden ? It is all OUR MONEY, these people are going spend crores and crores by travelling from one country to another , contributing nothing for the Nation. Can anyone tell me what Smt.Pratiba did for our country, by travelling to so many foreign nations, during the last 5 years? is there any single positive contribution worth talking about? She spent many crores again, all gone to the drains. Pranabda will be doing the same now. WE ARE JUST NOT ENAMORED BY THIS NEW AVATAR.
