New Delhi Without disclosing Kareena Kapoor's remuneration for his upcoming project "Heroine", director Madhur Bhandarkar has called her the "most expensive heroine" in Bollywood referring to her costly wardrobe for the film.

The fashionable pieces Kareena has donned in the film, playing the role of a superstar, were sourced from major brands from all over the world.

"Kareena has worn 130 dresses in the film and many of them have been imported from many fashion hubs of the world. One garment in the film cost me 1.5 crore and I must say she is one of the most expensive heroines in the industry," said Madhur, who was in the Capital to promote the film today.

Madhur, 46, who has bagged many National Awards for his reality driven films, said he is not aspiring to get another one for this film.

"I just want the film to do good at the box-office. I want the audience to like it. I have made this film with a lot of conviction. Since I belong to the industry I have tried to be honest with my script," said Bhandarkar.

The film, which will hit 2300 theatres across the country this Friday, was made on a budget of 45 crores and he is happy with the actors' performance in the film.

"I am very happy as a filmmaker after this film. All the actors were brilliant. It's my first multi-dimensional film," said Madhur, who has not yet decided his next project.

"Heroine" stars Randeep Hooda, Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, Shahana Goswami, Helen in prominent roles with Kareena playing the lead.

Kareena Kapoor still in denial about her wedding

New Delhi

The invitation cards are out and the trousseau is being designed but actress Kareena Kapoor is still mum about her much-anticipated wedding with actor Saif Ali Khan.

Kareena, 31, is reportedly all set to tie the knot on October 16 and Saif\'s mother Sharmila Tagore has sent out the invitations already. But the actress is not ready to acknowledge it yet.

"Whenever Saif and I do it, our fans will hundred per cent know. Nobody knows about my wedding. I want people to talk about my film rather than my wedding. Whenever we decide it is the right time, we will tell the world about it. And currently, this is not the right time," said Kareena, who was in the Capital today to promote her film \'Heroine\'.

Reportedly Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt has congratulated Saif and Kareena for their upcoming nuptials.

"I am honoured that Angelina and Brad have wished me luck for my wedding. They are lovely people and I would definitely like to meet them," Kareena said.

Even though the to-be-married couple are tight-lipped on the issue, designer Manish Malhotra has also said he is working on Kareena\'s wedding trousseau.

Kareena is currently excited about her upcoming release, Madhur Bhandarkar\'s "Heroine", where she is playing the lead character of Mahi Arora.

"It\'s a performance-oriented film and I am playing such a character for the first time which has got so many layers in it. It will definitely break my image of portraying the girl-next-door in films," she said.

Kareena came on board after after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan pulled out of the film due to pregnancy.

“I never had any mental pressure. I always wanted to work with Madhur. When I came on the set I didn't have any pre-conceived notions about him. I came with an open mind and tried to give my best possible shot."
