Mamata Banerjee said Trinamool's fight for the cause of common people continued with the help of 'Maa, Mati, Manush' throughout the country.

Kolkata Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today announced that she would lead a party demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 1 to urge the Centre to withdraw "anti-people" decisions on FDI in retail, cap on subsidised LPG and diesel price hike.

"Let us fight the battle boldly and unitedly. In a democracy, people are supreme. Our voice is the voice of the people. We must raise our voice, so that the government must reconsider," Banerjee said in a post on Facebook.

She said, "We all will be present to highlight these issues and request the Central government to withdraw the anti-people decisions."

Banerjee said the party's fight for the cause of common people continued with the help of 'Maa, Mati, Manush' throughout the country.

"I am thankful to all of you for supporting our persistent protest against the unethical decisions on price hike of

diesel, restriction of LPG cylinders, increase in fertiliser prices and permission of FDI in retail, which are not in the interest of the common people," she said.

She also requested her Facebook fans to tell their friends to join the demonstration at 1:00 PM on the day.

TMC, which has 19 members in the Lok Sabha, withdrew support to the Congress-led UPA government and pulled out its six ministers from the government on September 21 on these issues.

Does the author know that Walmart added almost 1000 retial outlets in Mexico in a matter of 5 years and now Walmart controls 60% of the retail trade there. The small mom and pop shops are reduced to few. Walmart could do it because of its deep pockets and the access it has to cheap capital. By the way, Walmart pays much less than the local Mexican retail firms who control the rest of retail. Also Walmart sends trucks to large (contract) farms and after pickiup up produce, flows it to the retail outlets through its cross-docking facilities (where there is no storage--only sorting of bulk produce from incoming trucks and transfer to outgoing trucks). There is no place for small farmers in Walmart World and small traders can survive only in in niche part of retail. Also the proportion of imported goods in Mexico has more than doubled because of Walmart and local manufacturing has consolidated with many firms closing down because of imports and because they cannot compete in Walmart worl

How we acquire knowledge? by Dr.M.M.HAZARIKA PhD on 24 Sep 2012

As we make progress ourselves;we gather more and more knowledge about ourselves to reach the present stage. What we thought earlier as correct; not necessarily be correct aways.Accordingly we must adopt such corrections into our lives at the earliest opportunity to acquire a Growth or else we shall remain stand still in the same position. There are some correct actions in the recent announcement of Reforms which we need to take nonetheless unpopular. We, the older section of the society are ready to sacrifice our lives for the good of the upcoming Generations;who too require to enjoy their lives but we cannot give them a rotten Globe which shall not allow to them to live their lives due to mass production of foul smell and the air in the atmosphere absent. We must devote some energy for the good of the Country but not think of self-gain round the Clock. This is where we are now.The other day Congress at WB wanted to march to Nandigram;possibly with the help of CPI.What is this?

THE ARRANGEMENT by Dr.M.M.HAZARIKA PhD on 24 Sep 2012

For every action, there are two causes. While one is internal which we cannot see, the other is external which we see.All actions always require both physics as well as Chemistry to produce a result. The one who sees the internal is most knowledgeable one.As and when we dislodge the internal automatic which root cause of all creations, each object shall collide with each other and nothing shall ever work normally including that our reasonings and Brains; as we are all internally connected with each other.Yes,MAMATA diverted many Railway Projects to WB; being no other way available to the Country to stop the entry of Communism into the Nation but we did nothing to help the State to bring to pre-Communism level nonetheless; it was a Miracle done but we acted reverse, ignoring the call of the Country which might cost the Nation now.Her drawback is that she is not Corrupt. If the current HC ruling is pronounced out of LOVE,it is fine but meeting a Political desire shall kill the Country.
