New Delhi The televised press meet of the India Against Corruption on Wednesday witnessed dramatic scenes when an unidentified person tried to throw a shoe at Arvind Kejriwal.

When Kejriwal fielded questions from reporters, the man stood up and asked him why he was not replying to questions posed to him by politicians. He asked Kejriwal why he was never posted outside Delhi during his 20-year career as IRS officer. This question was first posed to Kejriwal by Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh.

Although Kejriwal asked his supporters to allow the person to speak, he was heckled. Amidst the commotion, three youths started shouting slogan against Kejriwal. One among them tried to throw a shoe at him but was overpowered by IAC supporters. They were later handed over to police. One of them identified himself as Jagdish Sharma.

Kejriwal used the opportunity to make a political point saying the IAC was expecting such actions. “We knew this would happen. When we are raising our voices against powerful people like Robert Vadra, Salman Khurshid, Nitin Gadkari and exposing the Reliance-UPA-BJP nexus, such reactions were expected. We won’t cow down,” he said.

This is not the first time that an IAC press meet was disrupted. In the last meet when Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan levelled charges against BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, a self-proclaimed Anna Hazare supporter from Haryana sought to know from IAC activist Anjali Damania about the letter she wrote to the Maharashtra Irrigation Department.

Robust Kejriwal by satish jain on 01 Nov 2012

It is a courageous attempt to stand against corrupt ,capitalists, politicians and Goodas and gangs of looters in a free country of India where people can be looted under legal procedures, may it appear a direct bribe.Leaving aside a good numbers of honest persons in the bureaucracy but a few from peon to senior officer , political worker to Minister all are opportunist who are in majority and by mistake of the innocent people are in powerful ranks.JAB ANAYA KA GHRA BHAR JATTA HE TO KRISHAN PEDA HOTA HE.GOD BLESS KEJRIWAR TO SAVE THE COUNTRY.PEOPLE NEED AWAIKENING.SOME ONE HAS TO COME.AGYAN KE ANDHERO SE GYAN KI OUR LE CHALO.

common man's corruption by vbdoss on 01 Nov 2012

Pl. understand Arvind's point. He never wanted to become a politician. First he went with Anna in all his protests. Even went on a Fast. But every now and then politicians sayc "come inside parliament and speak on corrution. the law ((Jan) lokpal)can't make in to alaw on the streets" Now he accept this challenge. Thats all. No single person is corrupt free because the politicians made everyting every dept. every process & procedures etc. corrupt. so if a commonman want to live without corruption he may not live in present India peacefully. May have to die soon.

Man makes abortive bid to throw shoe at Arvind Kejriwal by V S Iyer on 01 Nov 2012

As suggested by Anna, Kejriwal should take up corruption charges one by one instead of targetting all Great Personalities engaged in Corruption. By doing so, he likely to loose his grip and these Traitors can undue advantage. Congress has tamed so many useless Ministers who are mainly used to interrupt such meetings/conference. Digvijay is a great speaker of Congress and being very Honest among Congress Leaders he always raises the voice whenever any Minister is exposed. Kudos Vijay!! But only God knows how Honest he is.

If Khejriwal comes to power: 1. All corruption will disappear from India and also from all over the world. After cleansing India, Khejriwal will focus on USA, UK etc. 2. Business lobbying will simply disaapear as if by a sweep of magic wand.3. He will banish all politicians except those of his party because all others are corrupt.4. He will do all this and more becasue he has vast experience in good governance. But South India will not buyall this.
