New Delhi HP-owned IT services firm MphasiS today reported 14.3 per cent year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 209.31 crore for the fourth quarter ended October 31, 2012.

The company's net profit stood at Rs 183.03 crore for the same period last year, MphasiS said in a statement.

The company's total income stood at Rs 1,346.33 crore for the reported quarter compared to Rs 1,364.79 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, down 1.35 per cent.

For the year ended October 31, MphasiS registered consolidated net profit of Rs 792.32 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 821.82 crore in FY2010-11, down 3.5 per cent.

The revenues were up 4.66 per cent at Rs 5,525.35 crore in 2011-12 from Rs 5,279.02 crore in FY'11.

Cash and cash equivalents increased by Rs 874 crore during the year to Rs 2,940 crore, it said.

The Board has recommended a dividend payout of Rs 17 pershare in FY'12.

"Our focus on driving operational excellence has resulted in incremental margin expansion in each quarter this year," MphasiS Chief Executive Officer Ganesh Ayyar said.

The Board's approval of the increased dividend payout reflects confidence that the successful execution of strategic plan will continue to generate strong cash flows, he added.

"This will enable us to strike a balance between investing in the business and regularly returning cash to our shareholders," Ayyar said.

MphasiS, an HP company, is currently over 36,000 employees and services clients in banking and capital markets, insurance, manufacturing, communications and media and entertainment among other sectors.
