M H Jawahirullah, MLA and President, Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, said representatives of various Muslim organisations met the City Police Commissioner S George today demanding that the screening of the movie be banned.
"The screening of the movie will affect social harmony in the state. We plan to meet the Home Secretary, besides moving the Censor Board," he said.
Jawahirullah replied in the affirmative when asked if they planned to move the court if required.
Muslim organisations had earlier demanded that the film be screened to them prior to its release, expressing concern over the depiction of the community in the movie.
He said Haasan had organised a special screening of the movie for them following their demand.
The thespian had already courted controversy after taking a U-turn on his decision to release the movie on Direct-to-Home (DTH) platform with theatre owners red-flagging his decision.
The film's release was also subsequently postponed and is now slated for a January 25 release in 500 screens in the state.

Because we are not waging war for the belief. You are creating enemy by trying to impose a belief. War is not a common word in this context. to make you understand the "repent" in your context,ask paks to kneel down and ask for some land from India we will give generously.
It's just example i took. I never wanted war. We believe every nation has right for security and secure their citizen. you are taking repent word out of context.

so it is true that quran contains versus like these. thats all i need to know. rest all depends on the interpretation of the believer, good or bad. the point is that it can be used for violence and that is what is happening. i dont care how you or other moderated interpret it, all that matters to me is the result of it. i dont have anything more to say. you can cherry pick all you want. i dont expect ambiguous sloopy writing from an omniscient and omnipotent being. and if such a being exists who even with all these qualities expects love and respect from his creations she/he/it might be pretty insecure and needs some counselling for sure.

(Story) Once there was a king who told some of his workers to dig a pond. Once the pond was dug, the king made an announcement to his people saying that one person from each household has to bring a glass of milk during the night and pour it into the pond. So, the pond should be full of milk by the morning. After receiving the order, everyone went home. One man prepared to take the milk during the night. He thought that since everyone will bring milk, he could just hide a glass of water and pour inside the pond. Because it will be dark at night, no one will notice. So he quickly went and poured the water in the pond and came back. In the morning, the king came to visit the pond and to his surprise the pond was only filled with water! What has happened is that everyone was thinking like the other man that "I don't have to put the milk, someone else will do it." Dear friends, when it comes to help poor people, do not think that others will take care of it. Rather, it starts from you, if you don't do it, no one else will do it. So, change yourself to the way of %u201CAllan%u201D to serve Him and that will make the difference.
The fact is; In the name of Islam many mindless and ruthless criminals are manufactured by extremely corrupt and politically biased so called Islamic organizations. The intentions of the leaders of such organizations are solely political who benefit from it financially too. Just by attatching the word ISLAM to their organization, they think they represent the religion Islam. And guess what? They are the biggest enemies of our religion!!! I feel ashamed and disgusted when they make such outrageous comments and when they stand up for issues which is of least concern. ISLAM doesn't tell to go killing people or insult other religions. ISLAM demands Patriotism to be prioritized and Respect for every living creature. ISLAM tells to defend only and only when one's life in danger. Not to bomb and kill people for political agendas. That's the ISLAM I've known and That's the basic principal of every religion. So If a movie shows the bad elements of a religion, Shouldn't we learn from it???

out of context are the moderates. cherry picking is not the true religion. if you are going to follow a religion, the supposedly god given words, then better follow them to the word or else shun it altogether. atleast fundamentalists are honest, moderates are just hypocrites. mind it i will always be on the sode on moderates on any given day, but that is the truth. same with all other religions.

They should not agitate without seeing the movie properly kamal haasan did read the kuran thoroughly before scripting the movie. If there is any content against muslims censor board would have removed it but nothing happend so. kamal have exposed the pain and sufferings of the afghan people bcoz of war, as said by Balachander after watching the movie
Dear friends let me tell you a truth, that every Indian Muslim have to prove him or her self that they are the true lovers of Nations by their acts, but it is not count for other communities, why its so , we too love our land our country we born, where we are living, where we are getting our livelihood, we have the same rights. I can point out killing in bible, Stoning in bible and woman head shaving in bible. Bible is not consistent. You can find two very different bible with very different version. If you bible is true than how come GOD book has error ?? how come bible has many contradiction ? Quran never says Jesus is son of GOD.
