"Though regional parties have failed to sustain themselves earlier in Karnataka, Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) will play a vital role in changed political scenario in the state," he told reporters here.
Yeddyurappa had already announced that he would launch KJP on December 9 after resigning from BJP and also his Assembly membership by first week of next month.
National parties are losing relevance as they have failed to bring solace to the people, he said.
Yeddyurappa said ministers and legislators in the BJP Government who were supporting him, have been given "liberty" either to attend or abstain from the function to launch the KJP, to be held at Haveri.
Yeddyurappa said he had no intentions to bring down the Jagadish Shettar government and there was no way he could return to BJP.
He visited Sharanabasaveswara Temple and Budha Vihar in the city and performed pooja. Minister Revunaik Belamagi and legislator Sunil Vallyapure accompanied him.

Mr Yediyurappas term as CM was one of the worst. He is incompetent and corrupt. He depends on communal support. If he is supported by his community and the mutts it can only mean that they support corruption and incompetence apart from being communal!!
Best of luck Sir.......I hope you would do better.
