What an Irony....While Followers get Life Sentences, the Leader projects himself as saviour of the Muslims by U B Singh on 02 Sep 2012

Modi firstly instigated his followers to go berseck, then allowing them to be imprisoned for life, while he himself clings to power and trying to give justice to Muslims...what a double irony that no one is seeing through this dastardly act of Modi's. What a Politician indeed who cares a damn about the interests of others in front of his own interests...else why shouldnt Maya Kodnani be projected as a Future Leader worthy to become PM :))

What an irony, the main instigator Modi, the Cleverest of all, remains elusive.. by U B Singh on 02 Sep 2012

Its rightly said, " A mob has many Heads but only a couple of brains" & one of the main mastermind behind the massacres in Gujrat, the man named Modi, still remains Free & in a position to stall all investigations against him. In earlier times, the Kings and the Leaders used to lay down their lives for their followers, but here is one shameless guy who actually instigated others to commit crimes against humanity and is now a silent spectator, just interested in saving his own hide & shamelessly making fool of others in his lust for power for himself...so very selfish and degraded living creature not worthy of being called a human being..

Justice comes by Mohamed Azhar on 01 Sep 2012

Finally, these people realised that Indian law is much above their limited imaginations about Indian versatile demography where equality is non-negotiable.

Court's blindness by Helpless Hindus on 31 Aug 2012

Can you say that Gujrat riot was the first and last one and if not why BJP is being targeted. Man, can you advise what was the main reason to devide the country and at what base it has been devided. Need to learn much about the history. To my mind I am totaly disagree with the judgement and think Judges have know knowledge. There's to much curruption in Courts need to short it out first.

One sided order by prabhat on 31 Aug 2012

what about those people who have been kiilled in kashmir on regular basis and forced to leave their home... where is court judgement in this case?

Mitra by Tapan on 31 Aug 2012

It's a matter of great happiness that the butchers have been ultimately given the price for their misdeeds! I wish I could see all the miscreants brought to the court of justice irrespective of the heights of their positions! Those who are looting people's funds by dint of their power and are exploiting them ruthlessly must be put behind the bars!

krishna by krishna on 31 Aug 2012

yes i agree with shree, the supreme court had given clean chit to narendra modi, congress will take advantage of this issue in coming elections.there are many congress states in the country why they dont give free medicines & houses in their respective states, they are playing dirty tricks to defeat narendra modi.

Naroda Patia by fayez on 31 Aug 2012

The judgement will hopefully clense there soul....they did grave error...forgive them Lord, for they know not what the do. Oh..how many deaths will it take for the world to know that too many people have died...

flawed premises by fitoor on 31 Aug 2012

Many people out here,(mostly supporters of modi) seems unhappy with the verdict. And they are trying to justify a small crime comparing it with a bigger crime. Look at the their tone - "What happened to 1984 Congress Killer then ?" "Why is no one talking about Burning HINDUS ?" People fails to understand that verdict is not against a political party BJP or Hindus( which was involved in riots), but its against crime done by a human against another human. And i would be more than pleased if each person involved in any riots is brought to justice and punished.

TRUTH PREVAILED by shanti on 31 Aug 2012

WHY MODI IS ROAMING FREELY ?

Truth is always truth by Pandurang gharpure on 01 Sep 2012

For the same reasons, Jagdish Tytler and other congress leaders are roaming freely

File Appeal by N Sukumar on 31 Aug 2012

The CBI should file an appeal in the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat for enhancement of the conviction awarded. Appeal for death sentence.

HONOR COURT'S VERDICT by RAJAT KUMAR MOHINDRU .JALANDHAR CITY on 31 Aug 2012

The announced verdict by the special court should be honored , As No Body is above Law .

who by ram on 31 Aug 2012

This is NOTHING to do with hindu or muslims. It's a crime where a few people targeted innocent people and killed. That's it. If Godhra train episode has no convictions yet, prosecutors and police need to do good home work and get convictions. Let us not confuse emotions with crimes. Any crime is reprehensible and need to be condemned. No exceptions.

Plug the loop holes!!! by Meghna on 31 Aug 2012

"Justice delayed is justice denied" the old adage goes. But in this case the culprits have been punished after a decade. Loop holes are to plugged still.

Gujarat riots by G.Dwarkanath on 31 Aug 2012

The court has not given any punishment to culprits involved in the Godhra train episode. The Court has still not passed the order against cultprits involved in the massacre of Sikh community in Delhi. The Communal riot in Assam is also going and lakhs of refugees are lying in refugee camps. We are respecting Court Order but we will never forgets others.

Enough is Enough by goldiengoldie on 31 Aug 2012

Enough is enough...KPS Gill is a celebrity and Jagdish Tytler is an Honourable Minster...let us put an end to this NOW...AND FOREVER

Escapist justice by Vinodgupt on 31 Aug 2012

If the court thinks that punishing a few individuals it has solved the Hindu Muslim issue, it is seriously mistaken. It is a lost civilization that punishes those who carried out justice when the state failed to act. A nation that glorifies its rapists by naming its monuments punishes those who try to correct those wrongs of society. Hindu Muslim riots and killings in India is nothing new and sending a few individuals to jail is not going to prevent it. What the court needs to do is to go into the details and background why these riots happen -- what started these? Is there some message of hatred that is the root cause? What drives otherwise peaceful and non-violent Hindus to such extremes. Address the cause -- not the effect.
