New Delhi Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh today said the Pakistan Army should be pressurised to return the head of Lance Naik Hemraj, who was beheaded by its troops in Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Army Chief said he would also visit the home of Hemraj whose family has been on a fast for the last six days demanding that his head be brought back from Pakistan.

"We have to make the Pakistan Army accountable. There are diplomatic, political ways of doing it. As far as the Army is concerned, increasing force and violence is a national decision. We want the head back but what do you when a country and its Army are in denial mode?

"I think we should pressurise them nationally and internationally as part of our national element so that they are made accountable and they are made to return the head of our soldier which they have taken away," he said in his annual Army day press conference here.

Gen Singh said that for getting the head back, "it will be taken up at the government level and you will have to appreciate that this has to to be done through diplomatic channels.

"It will also be conveyed to the DGMO. It is also being conveyed today in no uncertain terms. Let us see if Pakistan Army heeds to our request and complies to it," he said.

Hemraj and Sudhakar Singh were killed by Pakistani troops on January 8 in Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan Army regulars took away the head of Hemraj as trophy and also mutilated the body of the other soldier.

Hemraj's wife and mother have refused to end their six-day-old fast demanding that the Army Chief visits their house and assure them that his severed head will be brought back from Pakistan.

Asked about the demand by his family, the Army Chief said "I will go there after the Army Day is over (tomorrow). There is no problem in it. I did not know about it (the demand by his family)."

He said he owed this to the 91 other officers, JCOs and other ranks who have sacrificed their lives in various operations across the country.

Pakistan Army should be pressurised to return Hemraj's head: Gen Bikram Singh by vasoo kamulkar on 15 Jan 2013

Again on Aajkal%u2019s brilliant Rahul Kanwal%u2019s programme today (14-01-2013), Mr Aiyar sneered that Narvekar%u2019s Shivasena loved conflict whereas the Congress sought to solve all foreign policy problems with Gandhian concept of harmony. Might be, Mr Aiyar is acting Dhritarashtra whose blindness towards the cruelty of his sons viz., the episode of Pandawas%u2019 unsuccessful holocaust in the Lakshagriha, the deceptive gambling of Shakunee, the abominable act of striptease of Draupadi, the decapitation of solitary Abhimanue in the chakrawyooha (circular confusing military array) etc. led the Kaurawas to annihilation. The Congress%u2019 blind harmoniousness towards inimical Pakistan and China has landed Hindusthan with the insurmountable problems of Tibet, Arunachal Pradesh, the Aksai Chin and other border conflict with China, permanent place in the Security Council, and Kashmir and the minority in our midst. {Part 4}

Well, if they are not happy with this LOC then to avoid further decapitation, the only alternative remains with Hindusthan%u2019s Army Chief, Gen Bikram Singh is to drive the marauders (the army, terrorists, the lot) to their own country and re-establish the line of Boundary (LOB) where it existed in 1948 before their aggression of Hindusthan in Jammu and Kashmir. Today ManisAnkar Aiyar was seen on NDTV 24x7, expounding the theory of the Conjoined (Saimese) Twins, which hardly needs elaborate rebuttal. One doesn%u2019t know if Mr Aiyar is aware of the fact that the part of this conjoint is a Congenital Liar. Think of OsamaJI and DawoodJI. According to Mr Aiyar%u2019s friends, they were NEVER in Pakistan. Yet OsamaJI got liquefied by the US in Islamabad. Besides this Saimese twin were distressfully operated upon in 1947 by Specialists Gandhi of London%u2019s Lincoln%u2019s Inn and Nehru of the Inner (or was it the Middle) Temple; with the assistance from anaesthetist, Dr Luis Mountbatten. {Part 3}

God forbid, if the crafty Britons were ruling Hindusthaan today, they would have slung this MeruMANI amongst the intellectuals for treachery to Nicobar islands at least for ONE life sentence. No. Not to the Andaman proper. Andaman island is a place of pilgrimage for all Hindus as Veer Savarkar was sent their by the abominably evil imperialist forces for TWO life sentences. One wonders if Mr Mani sAnkar Aiyar has entered into any secret pact with Pakistan to wipe the Hindus off the slate? How could otherwise, this riddle be explained? The line of control (LOC) was violated on 28, 44, 51 and 117 occasions in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively, yet he argues for the continuance of the dialogue. Whatever for? It seems that Pakistani policy makers and the Army had agreed upon the present LOC under the duress of the UNO. {Part 2}

"AN"-easy lies the head that wears the crown! No; not Uneasy! We haven't yet heard publicly from either the defacto or the dejure HEADS of Hindusthan. This is all their secular making. Seemingly, Mr Mani Sankar Aiyar thinks that after Gujral he remains the only expert on the foreign affairs. While pleading for the need for cool diplomacy and continuation of sober dialogue with Pakistan even under the barbarically flung humiliation, himself forfeits equilibrium of mind and treats his colleagues with shouts and distorted facial language. Perhaps left with Mr Mani sAnkar Aiyar, he would have concurred with Holy Asaram Bapu and ordained that the Delhi rape-victim Nirbhayaa ought to have appealed to their noble selves while the rapists were ecstatically violent with her; after all they were only letting her know that she was endowed with beauty and sex appeal! {Part 1}

The Government should come out in Public and let us know about their policy on Pakistan Relationship for the next 100 years by Gaurav on 14 Jan 2013

As an honest tax-payer and a proud citizen of this country I demand an immediate address from the President of India(who is fortunately or unfortunately also the Head of the Defense forces) stating the future policy on Pakistani Relationship for the next 100 years. We all deserve to know the way we and our children are going to lead our lives. I totally understand the difficult situation of the Chief of Army but I guess, we have a 65 years of relationship with Pak and that should be enough to predict its future reaction. They are not going to return OUR HEAD (the head denotes KASHMIR and the body, rest of helpless India). If they would, then they will lose their remaining credibility? in front of the world. A correct action would be the one which would deter the Pak Army and force them to think 100 times before crossing the border in future. Some other Rehman Malik will again bark and say that it happened due to bad weather and another Dr.Kalia would keep on crying forever.

Rouge Pakistan Army will never own up - act beheading Indian jawan by TIHARwale on 14 Jan 2013

returning the head of Indian soldier would be admission of guilt by Rouge Pakistan Army, so Gen Bikram Singh call may not yield the desired result. Pakistan Army will understand tough decision of leader like Indira Gandhi who ensured the liberation of Bangladesh by cutting the East Pakistan which executed by the gallant Indian Army
