Horrific travesty by ragan on 08 Jan 2013

Our hearts go out to the victims' families and friends. I hope justice is served and change is made. The thought of what she went through brings great sadness. - The McManus Family, USA

Tribute to gangrape victim by ahirwan on 31 Dec 2012

You are the 'warrior' here.Died at the hands of testosterone filled gang of rapists who have brought shame to the manhood of ordinary males who have mothers, sisters or daughters. You faced the scum of the society and were swamped. You have made ordinary men avow to defend woman kind valiantly and make safe a society safe for women, children. Therefore, let us all, men of valour, and love of women and children, take a commitment to protect women and children outside our immediate family. Let us pray for your solace in the heavenly realms, nurtured by the angles.

Reforms by Navina Jafa on 31 Dec 2012

A punishment for rapists as a starting point for civil society to demand needs to be having not just the rapists of braveheart but also at least 6 MPs, and regional rapists from all states. Have them paraded naked, have them flogged just as such criminals get punished in Saudi Arabia. Have this punishment as a deterrent to begin with. However much needs to be done since the social mindset of women as a property just jaidad, zameen, and then include joru. It is primarily the women themselves who are perpetrators of molding the mindset of men. Women who begin the discrimination and snatch basic self esteem in childhood. We are not merely looking at urban spaces but also rural landscapes. With most of the rapists in urban spaces being migrants from rural areas. Societal mindset where precedence from Manu Smriti sanctions beating of women to keep them in control. This deep rooted degenerated view needs to be addressed.

SHAME- SHAME by perhar on 30 Dec 2012

I have not heard any word of the culprits being punished from the politicians. Are they waiting for a week so that the public forgets the whole shameful act (general people have a very short term memory). Mr manmohan singh please wake up. Let the poor soul live in peace after death. WE WANT SOME DEFINITIVE ACTION.

Kudos to the fighting Spirit of Brave heart..Shame on Our Country... by Sidharth Garg on 30 Dec 2012

20 years back film "Damini" highlighted the attitude of Society, Police, Media, Lawyers, Courts etc. towards the apathy of a Rape victim... Has something really changed since then. Does it take so long to change the system?? I don't think that we have even moved a inch in right direction... Everything is still same or even worse than before except that we now hear about such incidents more frequently... :-( ...We can just hope something really changes...Shame on our Country...

India will not change with corrupt politicians by gk on 30 Dec 2012

With politicians like ND Tiwari who wanted girls fit to be his grand daughter to do sexual favours for him , with politicians like Karunanidhi who has 4 wives, TR Balu who has 2 wives , Dharmendra who has 2 wives you cannot expect any changes. Whatever promise these politcians give is only lip service. As long as these congress politicians kiss up to Sonia to get the illeterate votes , so that they can remain in power to loot the country , even 1000 such rapes will not change this country's laws. Women will continue to suffer. Fortunately it is the common guy on the street who committed the gang rape. If the sons of any politicians were involved there would have been lathi charge , tear gas on the public to suppress the outcry. God Save India.

My dear sister , i know you will be in heaven now , away from the shame of this cruel world. I pray for your family to keep strong . I am so so sorry for what happened to you , i hope your death will not be in vain and that the silence your death has broken will remain loud to ensure your death will be the catalyst to bring about safetey for women and girls not just in India but other places where this disease has infected the feeble minds of evil men .

We need to shout louder by Piyush Kumar on 29 Dec 2012

Yes...we really need to shout louder till stringent laws are made to the extent of making the wrongdoers deaf n dumb....I've heard this that in forest certain group of tribals make lots of shouting/curse with bad words to certain species of plants and after few days they decay.....we need to do the same...with as much as public disgrace and curse, the species of wrongdoers won't survive and would extinct.

Unite for justice by Amrita on 29 Dec 2012

This is the most shameful moment for a country which "worships" women. If this heinous act could happen with her every woman in India is jeopardized. I lay my tear for her and ask all the people to break out of their safety walls and not leave the stage of action in few days.I beseech every Indian to pursue the path of bringing justice for not just her but all the women in India alive or to be born in near future.Lets pledge as a nation once again to fight till the very end.

RIP by Sarada on 29 Dec 2012

May you rest in peace. God grant strength to your family and friends to mourn your loss. I hope your struggle triggers the long overdue need for reforms in police in India and sensitivity while dealing with women's issues not just by the police but across the justice system.

Tribute by Mohit on 29 Dec 2012

I was deeply saddened by the death of the young girl.It was really unfortunate.. This government is supposed to be "of the people, by the people, and for the people". But i dont think so, its for the people.. We need change so that such incident does not happen again..

RIP, my dear by Vijayalakshmi Shankar on 29 Dec 2012

This has been a appalling - macabre- heart wrenching incident. Something which has left a very deep hurt in me. It is as if my daughter has passed away. Her death has brought an end to her agony but it will be a long time before our society gets over it. RIP, my dear girl.

Shameless, Corrupt Politicians bring India to it sknees by Raj Patel on 29 Dec 2012

India's real problem is a immensely corrupt and inept political system, that leads to such tragedies. And the son of the President making such a callous statement and no one is willing to ostracise him. The corrupt Congress Party will be the death of this country. The nexus of big money and politics must be broken by the common man. Until then there is no hope. We are doomed as a nation. And women such as this poor sould will pay the price so Shiela Dixit can live in luxury surrounded by heavy security.

OUR NEW HERO by Rahul Dhawan on 29 Dec 2012

Please light a candle to keep the girl's soul alive. Police please stop taking bribe and focus on your job. All the politicians should be thrown away from the system and educated people should be bought in....... Please Pray and light a candle for the girl

My heart bleeds for braveheart by MS on 29 Dec 2012

This brutal assault has shaken me to the core. I can't stop crying as and when i hear news of what the accused did to the girl by using an iron jack. Unfortunately, this would be forgotten soon & we will get on with our routine. Government needs to take stern action so that this does not happen ever again. May her soul rest in peace.

Indian Citizen by Rajan on 29 Dec 2012

I am pained about this tragic end and pray for her soul. The culprits should be hanged, no doubt about it. I am also pained to see the elelctronic media news channels referring to her as gang rape victim so many times daily. This is too bad..

WE ALL LOVE YOU INTENSELY by Dr.M.M.HAZARIKA PhD on 29 Dec 2012

O'Noble of Noblest, you shall always remain our hearts to express yourself in whatever way you desire.Your Courage and endurance made to me weep on this sad of the sadest NEWS.My two grown-up daughters still sleep with me;embracing hard enough to force me to cry whole night while enjoying myself by their LOVE showering upon me without a break to occur. Both eat nothing unless, until they bring something for me.This is what LOVE is. We too LOVE you that much

Tribute by Subu on 29 Dec 2012

May her soul RIP. Pray to Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irrepairable loss of this young girl. All the 6 accused should be hanged to death, why waste time, money in investigation and all nonsense. When will the Central govt and Delhi Govt improve? Time to throw away all the present political leaders out and bring in civil activists like Kiran Bedi, Anna, Baba Ramdev, VK Singh and like minded people to power to steer India. High time SC & Respected President of India take to task all the political class and deal with an iron hand.

Heartiest Condolences by John Sandanam on 29 Dec 2012

Our Heartiest Condolences for her loved ones. May God's grace fill them with peace. May the politicians STOP counting their money & pride and look upon the people safety.
