After announcing retirement from One-day cricket, Sachin Tendulkar heads straight for hill station Mussoorie along with his family.

Dehradun After announcing retirement from One-day cricket, Sachin Tendulkar headed straight for hill station Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, where he is likely to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

Hours after the news about his retirement form ODIs broke, people were taken by surprise as the batting legend landed at the Jollygrant Airport here yesterday along with his wife Anajli, son Arjun and daughter Sara.

Congress MP Priya Dutt was also accompanying Tendulkar, who left straight for Mussoorie after landing at the airport, much to the disappointment of journalists present there.

Tendulkar arrived at a family friend Sanjay Narang's hotel named Rugby at Mussoorie at about six in the evening.

The legend used to visit Mussoorie along with family to celebrate Christmas and the new year until a few years ago but had not been able to do so due to his busy schedule for the last two years.

Sachin's Fan by Indian on 26 Dec 2012

Hey you all who are speaking against SACHIN and his fans, Let me tell you something which you guys can't stop Appreciating about! - First of all, you guys don't know to respect "SACHIN's" talent but you guys have got enough talent to pull down one's reputation by speakin unwanted things. - Secondly, people who want to see SACHIN making out place for youngsters. Now that he has taken the decesion and came out of ODI's, there is a huge space, place whatever you guys call it, which no one can even fill it. not even the best rated batsmen can fill his shoes. - I would say, enough of people like you, who are born indians and speaking against a true INDIAN who gave his entire life for what he loved! you dirty fools, first learn to respect an indian and then think of becoming a Comedian. You guys are just a group who are thrown, act like a clown. As long as Earth Exists, SACHIN's name will be remembered. Whether he celebrates christmas or his birthday, what bothers U guys?

Thank you for your decision. I cannot tolerate when somebody use very very rough word to you because I am a die heart fan, you are my heart, I think you will also retire from Test Cricket very soon. "Somebody says you blocked the place for youngster, but there is a lots place open for a long period of time for youngster, lots of youngster comes and goes never stable for these places. They never take the responsibilities on their shoulders. Only one place cannot harm the team. They always cover up the bad playing youngster and Indian bowling side forever." %u201CSo Hat%u2019s off for you.%u201D

Youngster ..? who... by Nan on 24 Dec 2012

Dear Raj, I am just surprised to see the way few people like you in selection committee forced one of the greatest player of cricket to retire. By the way which youngsters you are talking about...? I guess you are allowed to play only 11 players .. and even you would agree with me, that it wont suffice even 2-3 so called youngster to match sachin's absence in the Indian cricket team..?

why talk about age? by indian on 24 Dec 2012

let selectors decide. why you people are crying. it is the time for you to stop talking about age. it seems you have personal agenda. Your parents are also old. sent them to heaven.age does not matter-if he is fit and can play well then who are you to question him?

Chalo Sachin, ab aaraam karo. Arrey yaar, Please leave the Test Matches also. You can continue to play IPL, but for god sake, don't come in Indian team. We appreciate your contribution but that's enough.
