Kolkata, January 5 The post-mortem report into Rizwanur Rehman’s death, the last SMS sent from his cellphone to his in-laws, his last letter and the statements of people whom he had spoken to before his death are some of the evidence that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will produce before the court in support of its report that the graphic designer had committed suicide on September 21, said sources.

The report will be submitted to the Calcutta High Court on January 8.

“The post-mortem report clearly states that it is a case of suicide. The text messages, which were sent from his cellphone minutes before his death, also support the suicide theory as well as the last letter retrieved from Rizwanur’s computer,” said a CBI source.

The documents, including Rehman’s letter, where he narrates the way he was harassed, statements of a number of people including his family members, his in-laws, police officers will serve as pointers to the abetment of the suicide theory.

The statements of some low-ranking policemen also play a vital role in establishing this charge, the source added.
