An Andhra religious leader allegedly hurt sentiments of a community while condemning speech of MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Hyderabad A religious leader was today arrested in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh for allegedly delivering a "hate speech."

Mirchowk police in old city here had registered a criminal case against Swami Kamalanand Bharathi, the president of Devalaya (temple) Parirakshana Samithi, on January 10 following a complaint lodged by one Rahman that he delivered "hate speech" during a meeting at Indira Park in the city on January 9.

The complainant had alleged that Swami used inflammatory and objectionable words hurting the religious sentiments of a community while condemning the speech of MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was recently arrested for his alleged provocative speeches against a particular community.

A case was registered against Swami Kamalanand Bharathi under section 153 of IPC (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Mirchowk division) M Kistaiah said today.

Later, the case was transferred to Special Investigation Team (SIT) for probe, he said.

A special team of SIT went to Srisailam town in Kurnool district and took him in custody today.

Swami was then brought to here and produced in a court which sent him in 14 days' judicial remand, police said adding that he has been sent to Cherlapally Central jail here.

Indians don't think twice when arresting a hindu doesn't matter even if he is a Sankaracharya, against any flimsy complaint by one Rahman!! They cannot retailiate even if one of their colleagues head is chopped off. They cannot hang the guilty muslim terrorist who attacked the parliament, they cant stand up to the missionaries who go about unscruplously converting by any means and buying the hindu souls. SHAME on the cowardice and guttlessness of Hindus. It is reflected every where in Sports, War Innovation. We are used to being a Second class (third class) citizen and promptly treat one of own (even if not guilty) as a third class. Why would any one else respect or be afraid when we are our own biggest ENEMY.

Two eyes for an eye by Truth on 15 Jan 2013

Just as Indian and Pakistan foreign policy cannot come out of eye for an eye, the so called secular Government cannot come out of two eyes of majority for one eye of the minority rule to proove its secular credentials. This appears to be a case of too eager a police to punish a hindu preacher who was eager to condem the temerity of a hate preacher. Government so far could not do much on minority preachers who periodically deliver hate speaches during every friday sermon. Let us see if the govt can act on those imams who preach intolerance.
