New Delhi Silver prices moved up by Rs 235 to Rs 62,391 per kg in futures market today on pick up in demand in the spot market following ongoing marriage season amid a firm global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December moved up by Rs 235, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 62,391 per kg in business turnover of 6,810 lots. Similarly, the white metal for delivery in the March contract traded higher by Rs 211, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 64,352 per kg in 836 lots.

Market analysts said besides pick up in demand in the spot market in view of marriage season, firm global trend mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver traded higher by 0.09 per cent to 33.41 dollar an ounce in Singapore.
