Two Indian soldiers, Lance Naiks Sudhakar Singh and Hemraj, were reportedly killed by Pakistan troops in a cross-border raid on January 8.
Former Army Chief V K Singh, who also attended the camp, declined to comment on the issue.

“The way in which these jawans have been killed is unacceptable. It’s high time that we teach Pakistan a good lesson. We should give them a tit-for-tat answer. Let’s have a decisive war and solve the problem for once and all. I am 75 now but if there need be I would go to the borders and fight against Pakistan,” said Anna.

Anna again betrays his complete lack of understanding of current dynamics. Whats a "decisive" war between 2 nuclear armed nations? We'll all get wiped out - there are no winners! While I understand that passions are running high, we need to break this circle of violence, not add more fuel to it. Anna calls himself "gandhian" but does not seem to be aware of Gandhi's famous speech on "The non violence of the brave".
china is indirectly helping pakistan to counter india so beware soldiers and peoples and think wise to defeat enemies in a better way.
china is helping pakistan and wants india to wage war so that both can tech alesson to india. So india be alert and think wise and then take a step
Non -violence has its limits. we all know what happened, when the allies chose to ignore Hitler's occupation of Poland. If America had not attacked Iraq, Saddam would have been ruling Kuwait. The Japanes would have conqured half of Asia in the World war , if the American's had not reacted. One of the ancient kingdoms would not have been destroyed, all becuause the king and the fellowmen who had turned to Budhism, refused to fight the enemy. In short, if there is no remote possibility of the opponenet shunning violence towards you, there is no point in harping about non-violence. If you still do so, it will not be much time before you are wiped out.

Looks like we are concerned on the arrow and not the bow. Remember Ramayana? What Tara the wife of Vaali said to him when Sugreeva provoked? Tara: Till now he (Sugreeva) was afraid of you but now he is coming forward and calling you for a war. Please think about his background support and do not react emotionally! We all should be fighting against deadly disease cancer and not whithin ourselves. Our nation Bharath or India did not emerge new and is the oldest ever known tradiional nation. It included the so called Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka Afghanisthan, China including Russia, Dubai etc. We created the borders and borders did not create us. Kandhahar was the place of Mahabharatha "Kandhari" and still retains the name. So let we retain ourselves. In this age of chemical warfare and nuclear weapons, the old style of one to one is no longer valid. Let us address the source of the problem and work towards humanity. Lokha Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu - Let the world Rest in Peace.

Pakistani slodeir was also shoot dead, no one knows the real story... not ur army and media, nor our will... peace is good for people of india and Pakistan, we have to see who will be those people on both side who will benefit from war or enmity between two neighbours... common man of both countries is never in favour of war... sorry for all tragedies in both side LoC

I do not know whether the war is the last answer or not??? But we should give a full stop to all such attacks as these are eating away our peace and economy. If a war is going to happen, we all know it will be based on some strategy not like fight in the parliament. So, we need not to worry.

What Anna said is perfectly correct. Your Gandhian philosophy is not valid today. It's time for a final battle and put Pak out of its misery. If you are afraid of war pray to God to end Pak without our interference.
Gandhian does not mean that any dog can cone and pi$$ on you. Gandhi was a coward anyway.
@Rajesh...I apologise if I have hurt you brother but your repeatedly continuous comments gives a wrong impression!! If you wish to have a healthy debate then why are you posting your views in such a manner. Again, I am nobody to tell you what should you be doing. About being objective.....well buddy, I was actually speaking from a broader perspective since you brought Mr. Gandhi in this argument. Any time people give that man a Godly status, it really annoys me coz although he was great he had a other darker side which clearly negates his greatness. And about FUNNILY??? (I am damn serious buddy- we have lost our men and I am not here to waste my time....I thank Indian express to allowing me to express my views)echoing your sentiments????? well if I might think that your views are in the best interest of our country then why should I object or deny your credit mate. What Anna might have said was in the spur of the moment and it comes from his pain since he has been on the war-front and have faced the brutality of the Pakistani Butchers. To be specific on the long-term policy....for me unification of the 3 countries is the best option and should be the ultimate goal as even echoed by Justice Katju. But before that the social-ills which are emanating around us are much more dangerous than this butchering....it needs to be addressed simultaneously. At the same time, we cannot ignore what the defense personnel and the affected civilians have suffered in this hate actions from across the borders as well as within. Now due to the word limitation of this debate, it is not possible to describe everything. Lastly, I am nobody to brand anyone instead people's action itself suggest their credibility. Gandhi is just an episode in our history but for political gains these people have made him a epoch.
Many people say that we should restrain because Pakistan is armed with nuclear weapons. This in my view is sheer stupidity. Why don't Pakistan has similar fear? Why it should be only us who should be scared of war and not Pakistan? This in my view is real foolishness and Pakistan knows it well and so we get attacked again and again. Btw Mahatma Gandhi never said that there should be no army and so principle of non-violence is not applicable when the nation is at war.
even though pak has some nukes, its never going to hit india there are many anti missile weapons are with india u just can't nuke india like that simple

Rajesh, you seem to be living amidst your books. It is this mindset of showing the other cheek that resulted in Kargil, saurabh Kalia, Nov 26, the recent beheading of our soldiers or even for that matter locally the Nirbhaya case. Our leaders, if you can call them that, are allowing these things to happen as they have no clue about how to run a country. Standing up and giving out tele bytes to media is hugely different than facing another country's advances. If USA or Britain or any developed cuntry is being respected it is becoause of their strong foreign policiies, whereas we do not have anything to stand up to. Parading our defence might on jan 26 is like a rooster fluffing his feathers to attract the hen. The people at the top dont deserve to be there else anyone else in their place would have taught these Pakis a lesson by now. Anna is not foolish, it is we the citizens who are allowing this bunch to get away with murder. I would go to the extent of saying that it is our govt that has killed our soldiers not the enemy. Jai Hind.
LOOKS LIKE THIS GUY IS A PAID CONGI GUY. Anyway, if not then he should first think what he has contributed to the society and then comment on Anna or Gandhi. Nobody is perfect. Even Anna is incorrect in many aspects and forget about M.K Gandhi; he had committed horrible blunders in his life. There was a huge difference in Gandhi at the beginning of his political career and during his end. Gandhi was a mere autocratic self-proclaimed philosopher almost similar to Leo Tolstoy. And this conspiracy of silence and passifying the masses was cleverly exploited and it is still exploited the notorious cult of the syphilis infected lover of Edwina (Nehru) and his progenies. Never mind the voting class is also equally corrupt who prefers a corrupt Government to satisfy their needs and ways of life. But, enough is enough the civilised and the Patriotic class should rise and elect the deserving candidates who would guide the nation to it well deserving glory. About Pakistan, well its a complicated relation and there has to be robust long-term policy to deal with such a society and simultaneously safeguarding the pride of our GREAT DEFENCE PERSONNELS and Civilians.
@Gaurav, I'm not a paid congi guy. I've made a point re Anna's "decisive war" logic. If you want to argue, please argue objectively - dont start branding people. Funnily, you're echoing my sentiments towards the end of your comment "there has to be robust long-term..." so looks like you also dont want nuclear annihilation which is where Anna's guidance will take us. Please feel free to respond, but do so objectively - dont brand me personally (it doesnt bother me, but it spoils the debate).
