Agencies

Posted: Aug 10, 2009 at 1626 hrs IST

Dindigul (TN) More than 200 Dalits who had embraced Christianity were ‘reconverted’ to Hinduism at a village near Dindigul in a function organised by Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

VHP sources claimed that 207 people returned to Hinduism at a function in Tamaraikulam near here yesterday following alleged 'neglect' faced by them in Christian community.

The VHP presented mementos to the reconverted.

Plan for Hindu renovation by C.Sugumar on 13 Sep 2011

Hindustan was ruled by anti-Hindus for the past 1000 years. Due to utter neglect of common people, and lack/refusal of religious training to all, the field of religion is full of weeds. Swami Vivekananda teaches non-brahmin Hindus to imbibe Brahmins and upgrade their religious and social practices. Hindus should be trained to pray in Padmasanam, chanting of Mantra, and Veda, taught sangeetam /Bhajans.Sri Narayana Guru of Kerala did tremendous works on the above line and won tremendous results. similarly Ayya Vaiguntar of Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu. If Religious training as desired by Swami Vivekanada, Sri Narayana Guru is imparted to all Hindus in our countryif all Youth vow to observe Brahmachariyam till marriage, Bharat would become a sUPERPOWER in all branches of knowledge

tamil by kumar on 03 Oct 2009

I wish VHP to allow the same dalits to do the pooja in Mylapore kabaliswarar koil and thirupath thevasthanam.

BOSS by harish on 10 May 2010

BOSS I AM A BRAHMIN EVEN I CANT BE A PRIEST IN EITHER OF THE TEMPLES. VHP HAS NO ROLE HERE. LOT OF MEMBERS OF SANGH PARIVAR HAVE OPENLY ADVOCATED FULL CONVERSION. BTW THE GURUKKALS OF TAMIL NADU ARE THEMSELVES CONVERTS TO BRAHMINS AND HAVE FULL MONOPLY OF THESE TEMPLES SO MUCH FOR YOUR SARCASM

Dont Call Them Dalit by Vishal on 12 Aug 2009

I agree with some commentators that these people should not be reffered to as Dalits. To call a sizeable section of our people as Dalit is totally against our ancient wisdom of Vasudhev Kutumbakam.

Dalit's conversion to Hinduism by A.S.Mathew on 11 Aug 2009

Mr. Anil Gupta, I do agree with you. Who has createdthis vocabulary " Dalits"? It is a shame to see thisrotten system in an advancing country like India. Some ofthe human beings are too inhuman to enslave and exploit other people through any avenue possible. This is anothersocial cannibalism.

Answer to your question by Papa_pump on 11 Aug 2009

Neduncheziyan,To answer your question. Islam was declining rapidly but due to new found Saudi Oil Wealth in the mid 20th century, Islam got a temporary boost. In the next 20-30 years with the collapse of the Oil Empire, Islam will decline just as fast. Tapping the emotion of anger and blind rage to produce a temporary Chemical "High" in it's followers has allowed it's short term survival.

Jesus comes from Egyptian myths by Papa_Pump on 11 Aug 2009

Apparently Christianity is not the wonderful tolerant religion that the propaganda shows. Jesus is a myth, how can someone who never existed somehow "save" you? What does save mean anyway? According to Christianity everyone is Auto-condemned to hell unless you worship Jesus (who isn't God anyway but supposedly his "Son", who is the Mom then?(Is it Isis?). Jesus myth comes from the Egyptian myth of Goddess Isis (who is changed to Mary), and Horus who becomes Jesus. Read about it, the similarities are incredible!

DO U ACCEPT THAT existence OF RAMA IS ALSO MYTH?

Dont Call Them Dalit by Anil Gupta on 11 Aug 2009

Sir, I agree with some commentators that these people should not be reffered to as Dalits. To call a sizeable section of our people as Dalit is totally against our ancient wisdom of Vasudhev Kutumbakam. But the hard reality can not be wished away merely by words.Concerted efforts for a long time are needed. Only yesterday our LOksabha speaker Meira Kumar had to express anguish over continuation of caste system. Vote bank politics has further fortified this evil.As I wrote earlier this caste system can be abolished only by socio-cultural campaigns.

Why going by Neduncheziyan on 11 Aug 2009

find out the reason why they are going and coming????? We are surprised after severe torture, Muslims still Muslims. Why??? some thing reallity in their relegion

Reconversions by Hero Vaz on 11 Aug 2009

The reconverted Dalits were not fit to continue as Christians because their conversion to Christianity was not based on true faith.

hinduism by subrahmani on 11 Aug 2009

First off all please don't call them as DALIT anymore they are all our HINDU friends who have gone out to see the COLOURS of the xIAN community. Thanks to VHP for a very broad step may many like that will follow to see a RAM RAJYA

Why call them dalit? by Shallabh on 11 Aug 2009

Now we are all Hindus, why say Dalit, khatri brahmin etc.........Its just hindu good that VHP has brought them back.

Dalit Christians by Sudheer on 11 Aug 2009

Thanks Anil Gupta, for bringing this up. So, the system devised is that they will lose benefit of reservation if they convert and hence they MUST stay as Dalits! Nice ploy! No problem. Let us wish some of you would volunteer for marriage alliances with those families!! Pl take a moment to pratcice, so that they will not meet the same fate that they had to endure for over few conturies. God bless India.

Good news, the people realised about their roots. by Dr.Rajhans Dave on 11 Aug 2009

Dear all,It is not the question or surprise! I congratulate our Bharatiya-Indians of any corner of India or world especilly Tamilanadu's,that they have good common sense and idea of future-Bhartiya-Indian HINDUS, in coming ages.Whoever and whatever individual or organisation or Tamilnadu people themselves have done great patriotic step to promote harmony.May be for Karunanidhi's,pseudosecularist's-congresses and leftists( all appeasing minorities),a really bad news and also wil blame Righhtis !non secular movements!!For them, to become christians or muslims-means converting HINDUS to other religions, is human rights and secularism!I hope this message and news of becoming HINDUS,from Tamilnadu, will be a godly, happy and good change for ill-advised converted and unhappy Bhartiya people.Good senses do prevail.Once again congratulations to Tamilnadu's Hindus, who showed courage, wisdom and common sense to denounce their previous christian faith, and I do hope that they will fight for Hindus.

Welcome to your native religion by Rocky on 11 Aug 2009

Welcome back to the Hindu Fold. BTW why are they called Dalit-Xtians. Didnt they change their faith to get rid of 'Dalit' as per promises of the Conversion Machineries.. Alas they remained as DalitNow VHP has to make sure, this home-coming is a permanent one, and this time the word 'Dalit' is removed permanently !! They are just Hindus !!

return to Hinduism by jai somanath on 10 Aug 2009

Vishwa Hindu partishad deserved our best wishes and support for bringing back our people from fradulent conversion to Christianity which is often perpetrated either by force when possible or by allurement of jobs or money or women . Religion or spirit has nothing to do with proselytization business run by missionaries and their henchmen in India.Such conversions played havoc in Nagaland threatening security of the nation. It is good that VHP is standing up to the mischief and doing a great service to the nation.

Bad Example by CHARAN B on 11 Aug 2009

dear frd, u have given bad example of Nagaland, u know nothing abt Nagaland, the people of Nagaland were not Hinduism but I agree they converted to Christian, and u said Nagaland threating the security of the nation, ur completely wrong. on e day VHP is going to divide many smaller nation in India due to their extremely radical and conservative belief, unless they change Hindutva ideology. May God Bless India and Save from VHP.

Nagaland Truth by Rajesh on 11 Aug 2009

Dear Charan B, you dont know the truth of nagaland. Please see wikipedia, converted nagas are now trying to create a seperate country "Nagaland for christ" do google and know the truth pls.

Dalits by Guru on 10 Aug 2009

Alleged NEGLECT. LMAO! Stupid lower castes do not realize that the problem is not with Hinduism or Christianity. The problem is with your own self. You need to stand up for yourself and earn yourself the life you expect to get. No religion can give you anything. You need to do it yourself.

end of conversion by Aravindan on 10 Aug 2009

Welcome back. Please bear in mind that the real enemy of our ancient religion is the present chief minister of tamil nadu. He once said that Mahabharata and Ramayana a fake story. If so, then thiruvalluvar also a fake story. Just waste money built statue of thiruvalluvar.

Throw away the Cheaters by Veera Shivaji on 12 Aug 2009

Dear friend Aravindhan TN CM has also said that thiruvalluvar is a follower of christian and that book is available in Madras univ. I think he does not know Thiruvalluvar wife name is vasugi. How come her name would be a hindu name. First of all he dont know what tamil is. If so our tamil great sage Like Aagithiar, Theriyar who have Worshipped Shivan and Followed sanathana dharma and gave us many valuable aayurveda medicenes are they fools???? or our CM does not know this thing

Welcome back by Deshabhakta on 10 Aug 2009

Welcome back dear brothers and sisters. The Sanathana Hindu Dharma is your home. Hoping that many more follow the suite.-Deshabhaktahttp://rashtravandane.blogspot.com

Dalits Christians return by Sushim Mukerji on 10 Aug 2009

The hope the workers of VHP pays attention that these "new" Hindus do not remain "dalit" any more; VHP workers have to create support groups for these Hindus so that pride returns to them.

Starting Point for the End of Cheating Conversion by Udhay on 10 Aug 2009

Welcome back to the world where you belong. I hope this is the starting point for these cheating conversion to Christinatity. Bcos of this conversion lots of villages are divided and lots of releations are spoiled. Peace is spoiled in many places. These stupid conversions have spoiled the communal harmony in our society. Lets this be brought to an end by bringing them back to where they belong. If this is repeated in many places they these churches paid by US/Europe will stop doing this at one point. Dont blame the caste system for these conversions, this will be eradicated by the course of time as already seen. If somebody is going to blame the caste for the conversions, what about South Korea/Philipines/? Is there a caste system there. These christians just want to convert everybody in the world to christinaity by cheating poor people. This is also a kind of terrorism. Stop that else we will stop you.

Re-conversion or Home-coming? by Anil Gupta on 10 Aug 2009

Sir,It was in Tamil-nadu in 1981 when 1000 Harijans were converted to Islam in Meenakshipuram which occasioned revival of Hindu unity conferences all over India. Now the reconversion or home coming of 207 Dalit Christians may paave the way for a spate of such homecomings all over. When Dalits are converted to Christianity or Islam they are being promised equal treatment but even after conversion they are not treated at par. They remain Dalits and they lose their privileges as Hindu Dalits as well because there is no reservation for non Hindus.Their dreams of equality are shattered. In therse circumstances it is but natural they they should come back to Hindu fold and get back their privileges also. Moreover, their is a churning among Hindu leaders and they are striving to do away the caste based discrimination.Several Hindu temples have appointed Harijan or non-Brahmin pujaris. This will provide them respectability as well. Now the conversion shops should be closed down.

Reservations by Hero Vaz on 11 Aug 2009

It is wrong to say that there is no reservation for non-Hindus. Reservations aply to Sikhs and Buddhists. The courts too have recognised this.

India's savoiur. by DILIP/FRANCE on 10 Aug 2009

WE are estatic, to note that better senses eventually on these 200 dalits, and their superior intellect allowed them to reconvert to Hindusism.God bless, you will be rewarded, as our Golden Age is fast approaching.Messianic VHP are God choosen. Now India is on righteous path to glory and advancement.
