Kasab by TonyMartin on 25 Nov 2012

Why couldn't India get any leads from Kasab on the masternmind/s behind the attack?

Is this enough by Supriyo Dutta on 21 Nov 2012

10 people came and killed 166 Indians. How can this be justice. We need to kill 166 of these terorrists before we can say we have got justice.

Yes, it is by Praveen on 21 Nov 2012

I am also one of the 166 victim. My best childhood friend was died. May he was shot dead by Kasab. I remember at that day, at 9th standard, I was studying in my room my mother run to me and told me what had happened. That night, I take a promise that, before my death, I will kill at least 4 pakistan terrorists....But I know a thing that it will never help me to get my friend back.....In other view Kasab was just 21 years old, he was brain washed by terrorists from his young age and he is not a human but a machine....So government have to take step to kill those real terrorists.....Killing this 25 years old inhuman, filthy, wicked, moron, scarecrow will not solve anything note; don't think about my harsh words. One should have to experience pain in order to know how terrible the pain was......

Should have been done earlier by Ashish Kumar on 21 Nov 2012

Keeping kasab alive was like keeping an FD maturing for world wide state sponsored terrorist organization. They could have attempted another attempt to held hostages, hijacking, black mailing etc. His hanging is little late, buts its ok. We have fully demonstrated our rule-of-law-is-existing behaviour, and this is perfect end of story.

Ajmal Kasab ..HANGED!! by Rao on 21 Nov 2012

WHAT A QUESTION TO ASK !! WITHOUT DOUBT GOVT DID A RIGHT THING OF COURSE !! ANY OTHER COUNTRY HE WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD FOUR YEARS EARLIER !! AFZAL SHOULD NOW BE HANGED WITHUT ANY FURTHER DELAY

Foolish question by Chandramohan Shinde on 21 Nov 2012

After following all the required judicial procedure, why there should be a doubt whether hanging Kasab is a right thing or not ? It is a foolish question.

Correct by ArtickS on 21 Nov 2012

Rightly said. Least expected of The Indian Express.

Hang till death by Gaurav Vatsa on 21 Nov 2012

India should have hanged Kasab the another day of the attack. Take an egs for USA which hanged Saddam and killed Osama without any legal procedure. They took such long time because they did not have their accused in their hand, but India took such a long time I don't know why?

No mercy by jacob pappachen on 21 Nov 2012

No mercy for the killer Kasab. The government did the right thing........

Kasab Hanging by Harish on 21 Nov 2012

Yes, Govt has finally done something which was to be done 3 yrs bak

get a life by bharath on 21 Nov 2012

Strange that till he was hanged, we argued for it and now that he is gone we want to confirm the rightness of our actions. It is over and done with. let us move on.

What Govt achieved by hanging Kasab by Arvind on 21 Nov 2012

Govt. may win public applause by hanging Kasab but is that only thing Govt wanted to achieve? If yes this is a terrible mistake. This hanging should have been seen a deterrent, at least to young minds who are falling in the trap of terrorism. But this hanging appears to have missed this point and just scored political millage that too a day before session of parliament.

Futilitly of hanging by C S Jacob on 21 Nov 2012

Though the punishment is in accordance with the law as it stands today, those who revel in this kind of retaliation may like to read a short essay written by George Orwell on a hanging that took place in the forties in Burma. Unfortunately India has voted against the UN resolution on the subject.

Kasab Hanged till death by Vinay Balaraj on 21 Nov 2012

Like kasab there are more people, everybody has to be hanged 100 times. There is no any use being like that....

Hanging such a man is no sin by Nitin Mathur on 21 Nov 2012

This man had no remorse as has been clearly articulated by honorable SC after his trial. A man who kills patients in hospitals indiscriminately, recklessly, waiting travellers at Railway Station, Bread-earners for no reason and calls it as a pseudo-war is just plain brain washed individual and deserves no second thought. For a change Govt. of India has acted. Congrats to Indian Govt. taht they completed the act without drama and before giving options to arm-chair human right activists to take to candle-light marches. It is ridiculous that such a question on correction should even be raised.

Ajmal Kasab by viswanatha HV on 21 Nov 2012

He did not have remorse for killing the people. He thought it was his right to kill innocent people. Hence hanging is the right punishment

The correct decision was made by Romesh on 21 Nov 2012

The death penalty should apply for those proved guilty of having committed mass murder. Ajmal Kasab fits into that category. The Government did the right thing.

Need Explanation by Santhosh on 21 Nov 2012

The Govt. has to explain further more on this matter.

Hang the mastemind. by Tatt on 21 Nov 2012

The mastermind shld have been in his shoes.

Happy to hear - Ajmal Kasab hanged by Sameer on 21 Nov 2012

Govt. did a good thing but might have improved it as : He shold be tied in a public and let victims of 26/11 or there family members decide what to do to him. He shuld be killed inch by inch, he must feel the pain we felt. Such a terrorist should be killed in very different way so that anyone should not think of terrorism in their entire life.

support by Naresh Chand on 21 Nov 2012

President & Govt has done nothing wrong in rejecting his mercy petition and hanging him quickly and fast, to avoid making of an another Afjal Guru. Thus avoiding any chance to Muslim Haters to gain political mileage. Here I will like to suggest that instead of Govt. deciding such mercy petition, should be given to Human Right Commission to recommend President for acceptance or rejection of such petition as it is the matter of human rights than law; as per guidelines decided by the parliament, to avoid the politics on such issues.

stupid question by Krishna on 21 Nov 2012

Don't ask stupid questions please. Of course they have done the right thing by hanging him.

. by mathai on 21 Nov 2012

Has the government done the right thing? ask the loved ones of the victims. they will give u the answer.

Kasab got his just dessert! by shanker on 21 Nov 2012

Yeah, the Govt., did the right thing in hanging this crap-head! Good riddance. Kasab got his just dessert!

Unbelievable... by Sreekumar on 21 Nov 2012

Going by our Government's nature, could not believe that Kasab is hanged. If this news is true, yes, as a proud Indian I feel it is right. However, forgiveness was more advisable, but some people and some acts does not deserve that.

Govt rightly hang Kasab by Vishal on 21 Nov 2012

Govt has done the right thing. Kasab diserved execution and he got it for his sins against mankind.
