Mumbai Police had been advised to write a letter to Pakistan High Commission in Delhi through the Ministry of External Affairs asking them to take the custody of the nine bodies after the 60-hour long encounter that ended on November 29.
The bodies have been kept in J J Hospital mortuary with Police waiting for a political decision before disposing off the bodies.
While Pakistan has been trying to crackdown on Lashkar militants in its country, it has been denying that it has received any communication from New Delhi to take possession of the dead bodies of the nine militants.
When approached about the disposal of the dead bodies of LeT militants, Mumbai's Commissioner of Police Hasan Gafoor said that "If there are no claimants, then there are other procedures laid in the law for disposing the bodies."
Without confirming or denying whether they had approached MEA for handing over the bodies to Pakistan, Gafoor said "I can only say that all necessary procedures as per the law...There is legal thing that we have to hand over the bodies to a claimant. In case no one comes, we will take the necessary procedures."
The bodies of the terrorists should be left for the vultures and scavangers....why should they be shown sympathy...they should be put in the mortar and ground...
ofcource, there is some controvery visible with the higher offcials of pak and indian origin. one peson is saying they contacted the other country men and the opposition sayin they didnt recieve. as a local citizen how we could trust whom? as in the case if deadbody issue and the crossin over of indian fireflights, whom we can trust indian or pak? so there should be some system to prove everything, like joint interviews or somehting not to get the public getting fooled....
My suggestion is to cremate their corpses and flus their ashes down the Mumbai's drainages. Since as most muslims claim terrorists don't have any religion, I am sure they would not mind it either.
I think its high time we have to take the situation very seriously. We must forget about being soft to those who harm us… Enough harm has already done… We must not hand over the bodies to no one… We must get rid of the body in a very non religious manner… so that the terrorist who think they are doing it for religion will know that when they die… their soul will never sleep in PEACE…Let this be a lesson to the other Terrorist…

THE BEST WAY IS TO MUMMIFY THOSE BODIES AND PLACE THEM IN PUBLIC PLACES OF ALL BIG CITIES OF INDIA, FOR PUBLIC TO VIEW.PUBLIC SHOULD BE ALLOWD AND ENCORAGEDTO SPIT AND URINATE ON THEIR BODIES.THIS WAY OUR YOUNG GENERATION WOULD GET COURAGE TO HATE TERRORISOM, FIGHT WITH THEM AND BE ALERT OF ANY TERRORIST ACTIVITIES.
The bodies should be preserved as long as it can be preserved ... It is proof of who were them... Should be advertised through out all newspapers in Pakistan so that their parents (may be poorest residing in remote village) can claim it... or else we should know who are these...

There has to be some difference in what these terrorists are and do and what we do. Let us treat the dead with respect, have all rites done and bury them. These were misguided men, means to spread terror in the hands of their masters. Strengthening our police, defense and systems is what we need to concentrate on at this point of time

Whether those involved in the mumbai blasts are muslims or not is a debate that will drag on for years altogether.The bodies should be donated to a medical institution so that they can be used for the betterment of science

The terrorists are enemies of humanity; they killed equal numbers of Muslims as Hindus. I commend the Indian Muslims to not allowing the bodies to be buried in India. I would say bury the bodies of the terrorists with Pigs. A tactic widely used by British during World War II to prevent suicide bombers. It is believed that any Muslim buried with Pig does not get the promised virgins and Jannat. This in my opinion will discourage the extremists to brain wash young lads to commit such dangerous acts.

Muslim Organisation in Mumbai has taken the right decision by not allowing to bury the terrorists bodies in India. Whoever has done this terrorist activity should be treated as the enemy of the humanity. India and Pakistan should treat any type of terrorism irrespective of the political influences as India shown in 'Melagaove blast' case.
HIndus should 'collect' those bodies, do all rituals according to their customs and 'release' the souls trapped in 'evil'. That should be the correct response when Muslims do not recognise the perpetrators as their own..
