WHY WE HAVE TOBUILD STATUE ANY WAY FIRST PLACE by Subhash Agrawal on 29 Jul 2012

INDIAN COURT SHOULD STOP PUTTING STATUE OF ANY KIND RATHER MAKE SCHOOL, WATER.HOUSING IN VILLAGES IN INDIA. WAKE UP YOUNG VOTERS IN INDIA DO NOT VOTE .UNEDUCATED AND OLDER POLITICIAN MORE THAN 40 YEARS OLD .

Signs On The Wall??? by Citizen on 28 Jul 2012

The recent incidents clearly shows SOCIAL UNREST IN THE SOCIETY DUE TO VOTE BANK POLITICS. It is better at least now the the politicians realize and stop this division of society on the basis of religion, region, caste etc. just for their survival in power. It is also necessary to regulate the erection statutes proliferation in public places so that some decency is and eco friendly town planning is established. In recent months in AP thousands of statues were erected all over the state for an ex CM causing traffic obstructions etc. Added to this some sycophants started washing the statues with milk etc to purify them when so many children are with out that. I suggest to these guys to feed the kids instead of wasting the precious materials. USE THE FUNDS FOR EDUCATION, HEALTH FAMILY PLANNING AND TO IMPROVE SANITATION ETC INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE STATUES JUST TO SATISFY THE EGO OF SOME IDIOTIC LEADERS BY THEIR SYCOPHANTS. JAIHIND

Beware of votebank politics by Raju on 28 Jul 2012

What is left in these petty statues. Just ignore and save the people than these statues made by politicians to secure their votebank and divide people on caste and creed lines.

shame by Vijay kumar on 28 Jul 2012

This reflects casteist and anti-dalit mindset of the people. U.P. govt. must stop these goons immediately, restore the statues and bring culprits to justice.

Respect needs to be commanded, not demanded! by Indian on 28 Jul 2012

Such incidents of vandalizing the statues shall become the norm of the day when corrupt politicians foist them on the populace. Any leader who has done something for the citizenry in his/her lifetime is revered by the masses, however when leaders like Kanshiram (who did nothing for the Dalits) & Mayawati (who has filled her coffers in the name of dalit emanicipation) are pushed down the throats of people, such incidents shall keep repeating themselves. Baba Saheb Ambedkar's memories based upon his role as one of the architects of Indian constitution have been trivialized by putting up his statues at each crossroad & naming villages after him - so much so that even he himself must be turning in his grave at such a misplaced adulation. The populace is not naive anymore & knows the vote bank game!
