Ranchi Taking a swipe at the debate over the issue of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's prime ministerial candidature, raging within BJP, Union Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal today said there was no need for Congress to do such an exercise as it would take just two hours to name a candidate at the appropriate time.

"Those (BJP) having a dispute over PM's candidature can start a campaign. The Congress doesn't have any such dispute over prime ministerial candidate and would take just two hours to decide when the time comes," the Coal minister said here.

He was replying to a query on senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha suggesting Modi as his party's PM candidate for the 2014 general elections.

The decision is only for the STEAL minister by Rahul on 30 Jan 2013

Congress is unanimous on PM. The competition is only for the STEAL ministry. Prakash Jaiswal is contesting for that.

congress chamchas by kgr on 30 Jan 2013

Chamchas r not allowed to excercise minds. They r slaves, sold out for petty selfish gains. They will be shood out if they open their minds in the name of Intra party democracy and try to elect anyone else as PM candidate apart from Rahul.

Living in fool's paradise by Ashish on 30 Jan 2013

So, Mr. Jaiswal, do you think they may consider you or any one of your left out leaders in Congress Party about the post of Prime Minister??? If Rahul Gandhi REFUSES, it would be Priyanka and if she too REFUSES it is Mr. Robert..Even to think for two hours need brain and it is missing.. So get up and start licking the boots..

Waste of time by anil on 30 Jan 2013

Mr jaiswal, Two hours is a national wastage, maybe you could allot some 20 to 30 coal blocks in that time. What is decided in the bathrooms and kitchens of the Congress President does not have to be discussed for two hours. The harm your party has done to this great country can only be negated by NDA. Modi will be the natural choice of the people of India. If there is a direct election of PM by the people Congress will go into oblivion. In spite of all the scam money which you want to channelise to the 2014 elections you will not succeed.

Rahul is yet unmarried by Internet Hindu on 30 Jan 2013

Unfortunately, RAhul Gandhi is unmarried otherwise Shreerpaksh Jaiswal can declare his new baby as Prime Minister candidate in seconds. Two hours is a too long time for these congressi sycophants. They need that much time to fool us and to pretend that they thought for two ours. Do they ever think.....No body in Congress thinks ever. They are slaves of Neharu/Gandhi family. Even Jawaharlal Neharu would have ashamed of these morons.

TWO HOURS ? by N.ASTI on 30 Jan 2013

It seems the minister is so duffer(Which is usual in Congress-rule)that he must not be knowing the difference between hours and minutes/seconds.He should rest assure that no one is going to ask him for his opinion.SLAVES CAN'T OPINE,THEY ARE ASKED TO FOLLOW.

Options not available for sycophants by Pratul on 30 Jan 2013

In a democratic setup or atleast where people have option to debate and then come to a conclusion best suited, these type of things happen..as they are happening in BJP/NDA. However the same is not possible in a party led by dynasty and consisting of sycophants..where they can not even raise voices for the right! No wonder it will take not two hours but 2 minutes to decide their candidate!! And fun is that they are brooding about it..

spot on !! by sagar on 30 Jan 2013

Your headline says it all man...there ARE no opttions for sycophants..truly said..

pm candidate by swamy on 30 Jan 2013

mr jaisval you must know one thing, congress party are ful of slaves and court jesters where they have no say in dicision making, whereas bjp is a democratic party each member is having individuality and opinion.after thorough discusion they will come out with dicision. i think you have understood.

rahul was decided Prime minster 10 years back when he joined the Politics by Narinder Tiwari on 30 Jan 2013

I would say they have wasted even 2 hours. I was decided 10 years back, when Rahul joined the Politics or might be, when Rahul was born.

Choice by Harish on 30 Jan 2013

BJP is doing the right thing by discussing the candidature for the PM post and that will be good for country....

Rahul is declared PM candidate from Congress party by M. Gal Reddy on 30 Jan 2013

For slaves , there is no need to think even for one minute. Spineless , brainless people , mortagaged bunch of fools , no need to think . Since BJP is not a slave party or single family ruled one , it is being run by collective leadership.

Well said, Mr. Reddy by vishwas on 30 Jan 2013

BJP has more options hence the confusion and that is acceptable. Congress can't survive a day without their heir apparent with that dreaded surname.

choice by agn on 30 Jan 2013

where there are options, one goes for the best after due debate
