Chennai Hitting back at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her criticiam of UPA government's policies, Union minister V Narayanasamy today alleged that no industrial activity has taken place in her state or jobs created since she came to power.

"After Mamata Banerjee came to power in West Bengal, there is no industrial development and no jobs were created. A state cannot remain like that.... The Centre cannot remain like that," the Minister of State in PMO told reporters at the airport here.

"Centre has to march forward for the purpose of fulfilling the wishes and aspirations of the people", Narayanasamy said on the eve of Trinamool Congress' demonstration in Delhi to protest the decision to allow FDI in multi-brand retail, an issue on which it has withdrawn support to the UPA.

Banerjee had alleged yesterday that "Looting is on in the name of aam admi and reforms".

"Reforms are meant to usher development for the people. Now-a-days, the trend is whenever any anti-people decision is taken, it is taken in the name of reforms," Banerjee had said in her post in Facebook.

FDI in Retail by kunju on 01 Oct 2012

Mamata should have restricted her protection against the govt policy rally in Bengal alone. She says she does not want anymore disruption rally in Bengal. With what intention then she troubles the public Delhites. PM has categorically said one state should not disturb other state for accepting FDI in other states. She must be more clear who loots the country. Is it not the nonworking class middleman who sells straight20% profit or double the rate sometimes hoard the products, sells the products at will without bill evading taxes to Govt where the farmer or the manufacturer hardly sustains for survival. The consumer many a time to satisfy with inferior or adultered product from the market. It is very clear the foreign companies use their technology and manufacture in India. The workforce is ours the salesman is ours. The same thing is still happening in India. And there are large malls already existing in India. The protesters must be arrested for disturbing peace in other states.
