Orissa violence started by christians when they beaten 80 year old hindu leader and his 15 supporters and were trying to kill them.Christians can live in our country without any discrimination but they should not be involved in conversion of hindus to christians.Indian govt should stop giving passport to missionaries. India has largest number of diversity and let us not increase it by converting hindus into christians further. Otherwise conflict and clashes between 2 groups will increase. What is a charity? Any help done voluntarily. So when some one say I give you money, job, education, health care if you join my religion, can that be called an act of charity? I think that is marketing of religion. Why should India support such marketeers of Christianity or other faith? The missionary run many educational institutions with tax break on prime land and funds from govt for teachers' salary. Who is benefitting from these institutions? Conversion by any means is arrogance and spiritual violence. Underlying christian and muslim religion is thought that only there path leads to eternal redemption and rest are doomed to eternal condemnation, rest are under the spell of devil, are evil to be uprooted. Islam may permit use of force, and missionary may come smiling but the attitude remains same. Can anyone harboring such attitude be welcomed and allowed to operate and propagate similar ideology. Is not this very attitude some sort of spiritual violence and breeds a competition for harvesting souls, not for the the benefit of conerted souls but for themselves, as GOd would judge them favourably according to the number of conversions they have made.I find it utterly repugnant that in 21st century, we can continue these things to happen.
