Women cast votes based on 'monthly period' says writer, CNN bans story

New Delhi Do women's hormones affect their voting behaviour during elections? Can voting patterns, as far as women's preferences are concerned, be as easy to predicate as that?

Yes, said a writer and promptly landed in the soup for making such 'wild' allegations - apart from the feminist backlash, the writer suffered the ultimate ignominy for her tribe in having her news agency trash her views and pull the story from its digital publications.

Might have happened in a publication of no account, you say?

Not really, the redoubtable CNN was put under the spotlight by Elizabeth Landau, whose rather 'extreme' views drew the news agency's ire, fearing an onslaught by a host of entrenched female-based and other interests.

It posted a lame excuse too:

"A post previously published in this space regarding a study about how hormones may influence voting choices has been removed.

After further review it was determined that some elements of the story did not meet the editorial standards of CNN.

We thank you for your comments and feedback."

Landau had cited as-yet unpublished research which indicated women will vote as per where they were in their 'monthly cycle'.

I guess, this is an utterly dangerous allegation, an ignominious abuse of human decision making by profiling it under menstrual cycle.
