Zardari vows to ‘defend country's sovereignty till the last breath’

Pakistan was a great country and that freedom was its national ideology, said Zardari.

Jamshoro (Pakistan) Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has vowed to defend the country ‘until the last breath’, and said no compromise would be made with the nation’s sovereignty.

“We will defend the country till our last breath,” a former CCP cadet himself, Asif Ali Zardari said, while addressing the annual parents’ day of Cadet College Petaro (CCP).

He also added that Pakistan was a great country and that freedom was its national ideology, the ‘Daily Times’ reported.

Zardari’s comments came in the wake of the US drone attacks in the Tribal Areas and rising tensions with India along the border in the aftermath of the Mumbai terror attacks.

He said that Pakistan was passing through a critical phase, and a better education system could guarantee better and stronger democratic norms. Promising to overcome the current crisis, he vowed to live up to the expectations of the masses and improve democracy in the country.

Meanwhile, after reports of a possible Indian attack on Pakistan, the Pakistan Air Force continued its state of high alert and started aerial surveillance of the Chashma power plant and other sensitive sites.

ZARDARIS BACKING OF TERROTRISTS by joicee verghese on 25 Dec 2008

Zardari is defending the terrorists now. Because these were the people who killed his wife benezir and Zardari got power due to that. So he should be thankful to the terrorits and protect them, othewise he will have the same fate of his wife.

FIGHTING UP TO LAST DROP OF BLOODE by joicee verghese on 25 Dec 2008

Zardari has just come into the power. he has to say that he will fight with Inidia up to the last drop of his blood. If not Pakistanis will give the punishment to him, like what his wife Benazir had. He must have shited in his pants when he said this. If there is a war with India, the pakistan generals will capture the power and Zardari will go back to prison.

Is he real by Ramakrishnan on 25 Dec 2008

Is this the same Zardari whose wife was killed by terrorists. What is the proof? as the Pakistanis are wont to ask. No amount of proof is good for Pakistanis. The ISI may have put an imposter in his place

Need of sincerity--- by romesh.sharma on 25 Dec 2008

Mr Zardari and every Pakistani national has right to applaud to defend his/her country's sovereignty but glorifying it through deception, lies and misleading innocent/ignorant own populace is a worst crime/ sin an most irresponsible act.To br humble and to admit the wrong done by his people is no matter of shame.Adittance could have given Pakistan a much better place in the world community and there would have been a lot support from all around. He is to learn from the rest of the civilized world when the Nation and Nation's interests are at stake/jeopardized its the best to listen and accomplish the wishes/demands of the concerned world. This doesn't hurt Pakistani pride but living with vainty loses all friends and causes destruction. Here is a wise saying"THE FLEXIBLE TREES SURVIVE EVERY GREAT STORM WHILE THE RIGID ONES GET TEARED OFF"Use wisdom and not malevolent distracting passions for the sake of your people.

May God bless you by Devendra Patel on 25 Dec 2008

Pray Allah to fulfill his wish as early as possible.

Last Breath by Puneet Chitkara on 25 Dec 2008
