Kolkata University exams postponed

With civic polls due in the state, West Bengal University of Technology has decided to postpone examinations from the earlier scheduled date of May 14.

Fresh dates are, however, yet to be announced.  WBUT vice-chancellor Sabyasanchi Sengupta said a number of final year students were to take up jobs after their final semester examinations and the new schedule will affect them.

University of Calcutta has also postponed its examinations. Scheduled for May 31, BCom part II examination will be held on June 5. Also, BCom Part I examination, earlier scheduled for June 2, will be held on June 12.
