Addressing a gathering at a function to inaugurate party of office of Gandhinagar North candidate Suresh Patel, Vaghela said the Congress needed only two crore votes to win the elections. “And if one sees, the Congress has 2.5 crore votes. People are turning towards the Congress,” he added.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Narendra Modi, he said, “First become CM and then think about being the PM. This is an assembly election.”
“The Modi government has not even given kachcha houses forget about 50 lakh pucca houses for the poor. The women who gathered to fill forms for the houses got lathis instead of houses,” he added.
On BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu’s comments on Keshubhai Patel and Modi’s remarks on Ahmed Patel, Vahela said, “Modi claimed that Ahmed Patel wants popularity but Patel has not given any interview to the media in last 20 years. BJP has no issues to raise...”
