Two persons, said to be members of Ponty’s staff, have been arrested in connection with the Bijwasan clash. Police named them as Madan Rana and Vijay alias Malik.

Police sources said around the time Ponty’s men took on Hardeep’s staff at the Chhattarpur farmhouse, another group headed to Bijwasan to take control of the farmhouse there.

In an FIR, Ponty’s men have been accused of barging into the farmhouse with the intention of taking possession and causing harm to Hardeep’s staff members, police sources said.

“Hardeep’s staff members were at the Bijwasan farmhouse when Ponty’s men reached there and forced their way in. It has been alleged that they picked up Hardeep’s men. They also told them to vacate the farmhouse. It was very similar to the incident at Chhattarpur. But in this case, no one was injured,” an officer said.

When Hardeep was told about the two incidents, he left a meeting in Noida and headed to Chhattarpur to sort out matters with Ponty.

Police are questioning over 100 people to piece the sequence of events and identify weapons used in the gunfight. Eleven police teams have been formed to probe the case.

Police also confirmed that three Punjab policemen were with Hardeep — they were his PSOs — at the time of the Chhattarpur incident. SSP Charanjeet Singh of Punjab Police, who has been in Delhi since Sunday morning, said his men had no role in the firing.

Singh said the Punjab policemen were being questioned to verify the sequence of events. “I came to take stock of the situation and help coordinate with Delhi Police. Investigating officers have told me that that no policeman of Punjab Police fired on the day of the incident. They have not been arrested. No one has been suspended,” he said.
