PU cultural night, Sankalp, held

Chandigarh Around a thousand students attended the cultural night, Sankalp, organised by the students at Panjab University here on Monday. The theme of the evening was female foeticide and drug abuse and the participants and audience pledged their support to the cause. “We kept the theme in mind keeping the major issues that are facing the youth today and a cultural event is the perfect example to connect with the youth. The sex ratio is especially skewed in the region and needs to addressed,” said Devinder Deep, the convener. Singers Kulwinder Billa, Resham Singh Anmol and Binnu Dhillon have been invited to perform and the V-C was a visiting guest.
