State to raise civil commandos

kolkata The civil defence department of the state government is going to raise a civil commando force who will help in the rescue of people during a terror attack or any other disaster.

This was decided today at a meeting chaired by minister for civil defence Sri Kumar Mukherjee.

The members of the team will receive training from NSG at Manesar and will be provided with small arms for self-defence.
