The students participated in different events like 20 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters race; throw ball, fast ball, and basketball and bocce ball. Students of Ek Prayas distinguished themselves in the event. Sandeep made the school proud by winning gold medal in 200 meters and silver medal in 100 meters race.
Mohit Arora, also of Ek Prayas won gold medal in fast ball and silver medal in 50 meters. Gagan bagged silver medal in throw ball and bronze medal in 100 meters race. Gurnoor bagged one silver and one bronze in 20 meters and 50 meters respectively. Sanky, Paramveer, Amisha and Nitin won silver medal in bocce ball. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Parkash Chand Garg gave away the prizes.
The chairman of the organising committee, Dr A S Mann said the 16th edition of the games will be held next year in Ludhiana.
The students and their family members were thrilled about their achievements and the familymembers were all praise for the institute for taking great effort to encourage student participation in all fields.
The president of the Social Action group, Samira Bector said: “We are very proud of our children and we will make sure that they are able to participate more in such events in the future. Such events not only provide an opportunity to such children to exhibit their talent but also boost their morale and make them more confident to face the outside world.”
