Woman found murdered

Kolkata A 58-year-old housewife, Sudha Devi Singhania, was allegedly strangulated to death in her house at Kankurganchi on Friday night. The house was also found ransacked. The victim’s husband, Radhe Mohan Singhania, has lodged a complaint at the Phoolbagan police station. According to an officer, Singhania told police their new domestic help Rajendra could be behind the crime. Rajendra, who had been recruited just 20 days ago, has been absconding since the incident, added the officer. According to initial investigation, the victim, whose body was found with her hands and legs tied, had been strangulated to death, said a senior officer of the Detective Department (DD).
